G'day Royboys and Girls,

Unfortunately, the "Maroon and Blue" wont be gracing the MCG on the Heritage weekend, as the Lions play in Sydney. HOWEVER, down at the Reds we are in the process of organising our own day to celebrate the history of Fitzroy.

Luckily we play at home that weekend, and whilst 'home' has been wide and varied locations this year, we have been informed that the Brunswick Street Oval should be ready to play on by then.

Now this is where you come in. We are calling on all Fitzroy supporters to mark that down on the calendar, and in the diaries, to get to BSO and make a massive day of it. If you haven't seen the Reds this year, make this the day. If you have seen us this year, come again. We have some plans in place to make a real celebration of the day. Maybe we could even get enough people to relive the FFC cheersquad. Are there any flags still gathering a bit of dust in garages. Even better, if we could locate the "Lokan" sign, that would be awesome.

Rumour has it, and it's only a rumour at this stage, that the 1s may be even taking the field in a special heritage guernsey. Possible special guests are also being planned, but its all only in the pipeline at this point.

Anyway, you get the jist. Mobbs, can we get this really talked up, it would be a sensational day.

Go Reds, Go Roys

Feeling pretty guilty here having been to only 2 matches this year ... have had my head buried in IKEA catalogues for the past few months.

Sounds like a fantastic venture, I should be able to be part of it so I'll see what I can do. I don't have any flags, but I do have a "Mighty Marnoo Mean Machine" banner ... its nothing to do with Fitzroy but I kindah like it.

For anyone who hasn't been paying attention, the Reds have been "almost-certain" finalists from the get-go this year, almost knocking off ladder leaders and so-far champs Uni Blacks recently, and starting to get that ol' pummeling thing happening as they so often do towards the business end of a season.

SO I'll try to get the word out. Slax should be able to assist.

Well you can make sure of it and come this week. We're at home which will mean Punt Rd probably (considering the majority have been there) and with Brisbane playing Collingwood that night it should provide a chance to get the message across to quite a few.

Just had confirmation that the Reds will be wearing the Heritage Guernsey at Brunswick Street on the 31st.

Once again, a call to ALL Fitzroy / Brisbane people to get on down and support the club

This weekend we are back at Brunswick St boys so let's get back to real football.
Re the Heritage weekend, the old Club is getting a set of 1957 jumpers ready for the Reds to wear on the Saturday and come and see the Fitzroy Shop and Museum on the Sunday. Lions are playing as Bears in Syd but the Reds are playing as FFC at the old home ground. Stay tuned for a big weekend.
