Sorry we are not in the habit of getting rid of 100game premiership players to Melbourne clubs. Or any other clubs for that matter. Now go away and troll on the Power board.

I know he is a 100 gamer, but sometimes a change could be good for everyone.
Never say never. If Sam Power could be traded for, then making a happier Luke Power, it would make for one happy member (me!!!!)

Didn't Notting declined to be traded, sort of take himself off the market during trade period last year? Sounds like he is hoping to stay in Brisbane. I suppose there's always the chance the Lions don't agree at the end of this season, but he' still got a few weeks left to make sure they agree with him.
Yes, I'm pretty sure this is right.
Personally, I think Timmy is over-maligned by certain Lions supporters.
He's had his fair share of bad injuries, had to be a bit-part player for a lot of his career and rarely gets any more than 50% game time.
For all of that, he's managed to be in the GF side for 3 years and has the ability to kick that all-important long goal when it's needed the most.
He's been loyal and (and far as I know) shown a willingness to play in whatever role fits the team's needs.
I don't believe players like Notting should be traded against their wishes so I sincerely hope he's not offered up as "trade bait".

Then there's the other side of it.
He seems to command a lot of interest in Melbourne based clubs (maybe more than his perceived value to Brisbane), and so could be deemed expendable, on the basis that he is STILL a bit player, and isn't, and may never be, regarded as a member of the starting 18.
Not saying he SHOULD go, but like a lot of things, sometimes an offer is simply too good to refuse......

Exactly.
List management is very important, look at the Matthew Clarke trade at the end of 1998. We picked up a high draft pick for him, and if we had waited any longer, who knows as with the ruckmen we had at the time he may not even have been getting a game 12 months later.

I reckon the Bulldogs would take me.
If I was Smorgon I'd want a coach before any players.

Yes I can just see them both rushing to leave a club of excellence to go to a club of mediocrity. Six months later be asked to take a pay cut and rattle a tin at the corner of Burke and Swanston street to earn their keep.
