Has anyone else noticed that when Rioli left the field against Brisbane during the 2nd quarter - we went to schit. He comes back and we are back. He is the skill, polish and class we have been missing. He creates so well and delivers the ball so well that he makes us a 10 times better team by a long way.
Another positive was to see Cupes out there. He added that extra dimension to the forward line that we have been sorely lacking, being danger for the opposition backs and also another strong leading forward from the square. If only we could get our team right we might actually be able to be knocked out in the 2nd week instead of the first.:(
Just a stupid pitty that we're not going to see Rioli again till the finals. REALLY SAD. He was half the reason we won on sat night, he had so much run and managed to create so much, incredible for a players first game back.
Now that he has done his hammy again we prolly wont see him till finals and he prollywont be the same. He surely wont play with the same intensity as he did on sat night at the risk of redoing it again again.
Is really sad.... this could well be a MUCH greater threat to our finals campaign than most give it credit for.
Rioli has performed alot better for us than many people think. He has such great skills mixed with abit of strength and he is so important to our side.

very much agreed
when i switched on the tv at about half way through the second quarter it was great to see rioli back on the ground, he just creates space that other midfielders haven't been able to create in recent weeks
i also think i saw mcveigh playing in the midfield for parts of the game which looked promising
Totally agree Pevers.
Yet all the clowns giving votes on the game gave him none. He was clearly the 2nd best player on the ground behind Lloyd

Agree 100%. As well as being so effective he's probably the most exciting player in the team to watch, even ahead of Hird and Cupes. I ****en luve him but those bloody soft tissues
18 quality touches in his 61 minutes on the ground, total game time was 120 minutes. enough said.
coaching staff are hinting he only twinged it rather than fully straining it so ultra optimistically they said 2 weeks. don't know though...i prefer being pessimistic :)

I will go even further ... and probably get in trouble like I usually do and say he is the best player I have ever seen.
On his day of course.

yeah rioli delivers the ball so well....and having cupido back in the forward line gives us someone that can take a mark and kick a goal other than lloyd, hille's usually inaccurate with his kicking when he's up forward....

No Rioli no Bombers - it happened again.
We lost Rioli and lost to Carlton. Coincidence or...?
