After the end of Inspector Rex, I flicked over to Ch 10 to watch Law & Order (one of my fave shows). Then I get "Breaking news! Delta Goodrem has been rushed to hospital with a fever!".

Big deal, a two bob celebrity got a little sick. Maybe she'll get better, maybe she'll die. Could not give a rats. One less celebrity is one less bit of garbage the media can spew upon the public.

Unless Greasy Joe is further exposed and the next breaking story is that Delta is his love child # 12.

I just saw a news report from Athens, it was said that she should be ok to go the Opening Ceremony later today. Then watch Mark lose in the 1st round of the tennis over the weekend. He plays Christophe Rochus of Belgium for those who are interested.

why? she is a talentless hack.

Her cancer is curable. Big deal.

Not something you should make money frm anyway. Unless, of course, you are a whore. Then you make money however you can

Things were edited from Goaldrush's posts so they were edited from your quotes. The reporting to mods bit was removed so the flying monkeys weren't needed.
Apart from anything else, if you two want to have an argument, do it via PM's.

Since when do things that weren't needed get edited??

seems to me that you would need to edit 99% of this site if that was the case.

You had no good reason to edit my post, did you? Just another example of the crap way this website is moderated

And the "argument" was relevent to the thread - thats what a forum is about, right? opinions relevent to the topic?

My apologies. Her cancer is curable in approx 98% of cases.

And did you aunty whore herself out using her cancer as a selling point? No? well then, my post has little or nothing to do with your aunt.

I'd like to know where you got that from, as it's untrue.

try googling it fred, you will see what i mean

here (http://www.umm.edu/patiented/articles/what_specific_treatments_hodgkins_disease_by_stage_000083_7. htm)

"The standard treatment for stage I disease is usually radiation for adult patients who have determined the stage using pathologic staging with laparotomy. Chemotherapy with low-dose radiation is now the standard approach for children and adolescents. Cure rates can be greater than 90%"

"Stage III :Chemotherapy is the most common treatment approach for most adults and children. Radiation may be added under certain circumstances, especially to provide localized treatment of bulky areas. Survival rates in some cases can be as high as 90%."

etc etc

here (http://www.oncolink.upenn.edu/library/article.cfm?c=2&s=30&id=459)

"The estimated 5-year OS was 92%, and the 20-year rate was 78%" - with the 20 year Survival, the other factors of death were not taken into account.

etc etc etc

i previously read that it was 98%. Obviously it was exagerated, it is only in the 90% range

Fred

Don't you think the 5 year time range is significant, especially for someone in their 20's?
Remission is the aim rather can cure. You've also assumed she was Stage 1. As far as I know, that was never disclosed.

dont you think the 20 year range is significant? Another Study found after 25 years the rate was 65%, and that didnt include age factors as to cause of death. So, out of all the cancers we have, this one has one of the highest rates of survival.

Also, I posted stage I and Stage III results there.

That was in 10 mins of googling.

Now, why should i feel sorry for her when she gets "a slight fever" and it is blasted accross the media? She is simply whoring herself out.

Still havent answered why you felt the need to remove parts of my posts either, Fred. Your "it wasn't needed" is lame at best.

As far as i know, it didn't break ANY of the bigfooty rules, so, please, a decent explanation of why you modified my post is required.

I've already told you why it was edited. If the quoted post is edited, then the quote is also edited.
Your reference to flying monkeys was in response to the "I'm going to report you to the mods." (sic) Once the latter was removed, there was nothing for the former to refer to.

As far as I recall, that was the sole edit to your posts, apart from the quotes.

so, no other reason than you wanted to. As i said, it broke no rule of bigfooty - so why were you editing my post - i am not worried about goldrushs quote (even though it is a strange thing for you to edit out)

Exactly, do you really think delta wants all the publicity on her being sick? Im pretty sure she only wants the publicity for her music career.
