Teams: Saints give up on lost Guerra
14 August 2004 Herald Sun

ST Kilda has dropped strongman Brent Guerra for the first time this season for tomorrow's match against the Kangaroos at Telstra Dome.

Guerra has played every game since returning from suspension in Round 4, kicking 27 goals up until Round 14.

However, the tough midfielder has recently slipped in form, managing just one goal in the past three weeks.

He had just two disposals and one behind against Adelaide at York Park last week.

Teammates Allan Murray and Nick Stone have also been omitted.

Ceertain irony in the reporter's name too don't you think?

Interesting turn around there. What do you reckon the reason is?

Couple of big nights out with Fraser maybe?

He kicked 20 goals in his first 6 games. Only 8 goals in 9 games since then. He really hasnt gone on with his good start to the year. Only averaged 7 disposals a match this year. Really you have to say, it doesnt seem like hes progressed much since he left here.

Like Heuskes and Cummings he may have trended back towards his mean. Just did it a lot sooner than those two.

Maybe he's doing most of the landscape work while Stevens receives the cash?
