Clarence V Glenorchy should be a beauty, hopefully the pies can bounce back after their poor performance on the weekend against the eagles. Who knows "crowy" it might be reminissent of 1999.

Kingborough V Hobart will be a good one, hopefully they change to a better oval than Kingston Beach, could be a fiery game for the 2 new rivals.

Another 2 rivalrys continue in the Reg league finals.

Cygnet and Kermandie and Sorell and Dodges.

would be good to see Cygnet get beaten, and if dodges get up the place will go nuts.

Kingborough/Hobart should be at North Hobart, or KGV Oval, depending on what is going on next weekend. TCA could be a candidate aswell, not to bag Kingston Beach Oval, but I don't think it would be the best ground for the final, with all the rain that we have had the last week, it will look like a mud heap.

I hope the Maggies can get up, I would really like to see Street, and Careless back in the side. I am not sure how long Langy is out with an injury. Sweeney might be a chance to get up, injured his jaw against Kingborough, Henley will hopfully play again. Newiett is a chance if the Devils aren't playing on a Saturday. It would be great to see the Magpies win the flag again, had a good chance at Clarence in '01.

I think the Colts will go close to winning the Grand Final, they have been great this season. Looks like we have some good players coming through in the colts David Heath being one of them.

TCA Ground probably won't be used, I reckon it should be at North Hobart, as neither side will have home ground advantage. But, they will probably leave the game at Kingston Beach Oval.

Agreed.
Hobart lost the right to host the final, copping a flogging from Clarence yesterday, and will more than likely get flogged next week too.
It shouldn't be held at the TCA Ground because 1) We didn't earn the right to host it and 2) The TCA Ground is in just as bad a condition as the Kingston Beach Oval, the TCA was under water in many parts for most of the week, so it would defeat the purpose.
I think it should be held at a neutral venue, but knowing Morrison & Co, the SFL will give in to them and let them host the match - because they are known to be Huon sympathisers

I hope to see Hobart sink Kingborough, I believe that the Elimination Final should be played at a Venue that neither team uses as a home ground. But I can see the game being played at KBO no matter how bad the conditions will be.

Sadly I can see a New Norfolk/Clarence grand final, I really don't think Glenorchy will go far, unless they can make a big come back from their last outing at Bellerive Oval. After that (if they win) they are off to Boyer, and yesterday's score line proves that Glenorchy cannot play that great at Boyer. I can't remember the last time the Pies actually won at Boyer.

I guess there is a small shot I guess, lose this week, win in the 2nd week, and get a game at North Hobart, or KGV Oval. And make a big run at it.

The winner of the Clarence/Glenorchy match will have a hard game against the Eagles at home. They are almost unbeatable at that ground, and in the conditions at New Norfolk really suits a wet weather team, rather then a fine weather team.

The Eagles will have to shape up away from Boyer if they are to win the flag this year. I think their only wins away from Boyer were against Clarence and Kingborough. What gave me the idea they probably won't win the Grand final was the 2 losses to both Glenorchy and North Hobart, the one at North Hobart could spell an end to their chances of a flag. Unless the game is moved from North Hobart, which I cannot see.

Sadly for you guys, I think the Pies have had the biscuit this year.
They started off so well, but the last month or so, they just haven't produced.

New Norfolk are always hard to beat up at Boyer, but they are suspect away from the Derwent Valley - They will make the Grand Final, and they will lose, because they always lose the big one - 22 years since thier last flag.

Clarence have once again timed thier run to perfection, they are starting to run into some ominous form going into the finals. They play the North Hobart ground well. If they beat the Pies at Bellerive this week, then they will travel to Boyer to take on the Eagles. They have a pretty good record up there.

The winner of that would take on the winner of Kingborough vs Hobart.
Kingborough, all things considered, have had a very good year. Hobart on the other hand have had a rather poor year, in many ways.
The two clubs hate each others guts, and Kingborough would start favourite, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hobart got up in a thriller.
Either way neither of them will beat Clarence, Glenorchy or New Norfolk.

My tip is Clarence vs New Norfolk in the Grand Final

My ideal would be that Glenorchy and Hobart win this weekend, setting up next weeks games as:

New Norfolk V Glenorchy @ Boyer
and
Clarence V Hobart @ Bellerieve

Then Hobart knock over Clarence and New Norfolk to be upset against Glenorchy, then Glenorchy beat the barts in the prelim setting up a Glenorchy V New Norfolk GF to be played in front of 8-10,000 people at North Hobart Oval.

This would be my Ideal finals series.

Glenorchy need to learn to play these smaller grounds better, from what I saw of them at Kingborough they looked lost on the small ground. We have one poor record at Bellerive, we have won there once in 10 years. Even if we did win, I couldn't see us getting over New Norfolk at Boyer, I don't know how long it's been since we won there, I probably wasn't even born the last time.

I just hope that if Clarence beat us, they can beat the Eagles, so it will leave probably Glenorchy to play them at North Hobart, which would give us a good chance of making it. Being that it would be the 2nd time they have played at North Hobart, it might work in Glenorchy's favour.

I have a feeling that Glenorchy will lose this weekend, play at North Hobart next week, win that game, and then go for another game at North Hobart. Boyer will be the hardest ground for the Magpies to win on. And I haven't got much faith in them winning at Bellerive Oval this weekend.

I can see it now, a glenorchy Premiership, everyone is writing us off and I reckon we will spring a couple of major upsets and find ourselves in the GF, from their we can win and do this season justice.

P.S good to see the Kingborough game moved to North Hobart Oval.

Go Pies!

I give the Pies a small chance of winning, but we have some odds to over come to win this one. And our form at Bellerive Oval isn't that great, if we are ever going to win there again, this will be the perfect time to do so.
