View Full Version : Grand Final tips for WAFL, SANFL, VFL
My tips would be:
WAFL: Claremont V Subiaco
SANFL: Centrals V North Adelaide, I think that north may have a fairytale finals series and come through just ahead of Woodville-West Torrens
VFL:Port Melbourne V ???????

I reckon it'll be Centrals v North in SANFL GF, based on current form, and with the Roosters beating the Eagles on the weekend.

VFL Sandringham vs Port but a lot will depend what AFL listed players are avaiable at the time.
South Fremantle must be a good chance to play in the WAFL GF against Claremont, with Matthew Capuano finding form and playing well in the SF ruck.
I think Claremont may be able to hold off Subi for entry into the GF. What is interesting is the 3 way race for 4th spot, with Perth(6th place) having a 15% percentage shortfall from Swans and East Perth who are in 4th and 5th spots respectively. Swans are all over the place and need to get their act together. Apart from Swans, EP or P could cause an upset should they slip into the GF.
One thing is for certain and that is East Fremantle (my side) will take the wooden spoon for the second time in their long history.

The chance of Perth getting in very very small though. They have a bye in the last round, and because East Perth play Swans this week one of those two sides is guaranteed to finish on at least equal points with Perth - yet both carry a far superiour percentage at present.
I think though anyone in the top 5 is capable of having a good run in the finals.
I'm predicting a repeat of '96 - Claremont v East Perth.

SANFL - Eagles (i hope) vs Central or North
If the Roosters keep improving at the same rapid pace they have all season come finals time they are going to be a grand final team.

SANFL:
Central V any who dare challenge....most likely Eagles but cant rule out Sturt or North
Would love it to be v Sturt, the boys will remember 2002 and will still be quite angry.

probably another Centrals vs Eagles grand final.. Eagles should have a few AFL players to come back.. even though North have a couple too. I would love to see North in the big one but i dont want to get ahead of myself.. plus we lack finals experience. But the way the boys have performed, improved, and matured this year.. who knows!
