Surely this better be the selectors trying to play mind games... GWH better come back in and Tredrea better be 100%... both need time and rest for the finals respectively.

Dew I thought played very well last week... several pinpoint deliveries into the F50.

Gobsmacked. Gobsmacked. I only hope that someday they tell us what this year's ins and outs have been all about.

If this is how we line up, we have dropped to an all-time low of selection farce.

This is a disgrace.

Collingwood bring back two key defenders (Cloke and Presti). Assuming they will play, our response is to drop a key forward, especially when Tredders will be under an injury cloud. It says - "double-team Tredders with a crook shoulder." i.e. give the poor bugger a miserable time.

Dew - as critical as I am about him - provided considerably more value last week than Cochrane.

Damon should not be dropped on the basis of the last two weeks. He was involved in several quality forward plays in the first half last week. He is providing every bit as much as Thurstans to our side, and alot more than Cochrane.

I am convinced, that someone in a very privileged position in our selection committee has a vested interest in keeping Cochrane in the team, above players who have more talent and contribution from their little fingers than he has all-over. There is a bad case of bias in our selection panel. It couldn't be nepotism, as I am not aware that Stuey has relatives on our selection group. There are other possibilities - maybe I need to read Choco's book about "Stuey and the Chamber of Incriminating Secrets" again.

NOT HAPPY.

Please let it be a selection joke.

Apparently Williams is on TFS tonight. I know it is a stretch but I wonder if anyone will ask him a question about this one.

I have been looking forward till Friday night all week until I heard the team.

Yeah, all week I was looking forward to finishing work on Friday, coming home and not having to wait too far into the weekend to see us play. Especially it is exciting to see young players who show a bit, get another chance to impress and add to our side.

I honestly feel deflated by those team selections. I would rather watch Damon play any day over Cochrane who just doesn't do anything for us as a team and nothing to inspire supporters. I also find that Thurstans because of his up-and-down year and his inconsistent attacks on the ball, doesn't instill excitement in me as a key forward.

I am generally not a supporter who follows individual players - certainly not above the team - but right now I feel that a major interest factor has been lost from this game.

This selection has convinced me that there is no known way that Choco will drop Cochrane for the finals, nor will he pick Damon in a side that has both ruckmen, Thurstans, Tredders and our key defenders.

I can just see us tomorrow night having Warren go off injured/rested mid-match and lamenting our impotency up forward - just as we did against Essendon when Brogan went off and Tredders got multi-teamed.

It doesn't make sense. You have interchange players not only to give you flexibility but to cover injuries or out-of-form players. Surely carrying an extra tall on the bench is worthwhile in finals matches.

Once again what will 15 medium/small players provide that 14 can't?

spot on...it looks like stuey has cemented his place in the team, and damon has been shafted from behind.

it actually DOESNT MAKE SENSE. Why wouldnt damon be selected...if he doesnt play, he will go back and kick a bag for north...what does he have to f*****g do FFS. And now with tredders having a niggle, surely it would pay to play damon.

does anyone here ACTUALLY know choco personally...cos i'd like to here his real reasons, rather than the crap that he'll say.. i've got a bad feeling it may be deeper than we think.
