Vaasy was class when it was needed most, again.

Winning against Sth Africa, ODI or tests is a rarity, so we'll take it any way we can.

Looks like there is life after murali, away from Colombo though, that's a totally different story.

Agreed. Pollock would also be disheartened by the loss of captaincy too, could be affecting his performance?

Just with the way Smith is captaining, I mean I have no vision, but reading the articles and responses from Smith, they're all over the place at the moment.

His after match comments smack of pure frustration. His bowlers aren't giving any consistency, Hayward's in, Ntini's in, then there's a debut here or there, Gibbs was rushed back, now has 2 ducks. The batting line up is up the creek, they wanted to try something new with Kluesner had him padded up from the 1st ball, yet didn't see action till I think after the 6th wicket fell.

Bizarre, no doubt. They're lucky they aren't to run into the aussies any time soon in tests, the way they're going, they'd cope a belting.

Funny thing is, Sth Africa HAVE the talent to wreak havoc, yet have no system at all at the moment.

2nd ODI is tonight, see if they can turn it around.
