Yes, Yes I do.

Sometimes, yes. Not as funny as they used to be though, in my opinion.
Love the show, 2000 was better though

I find it amazing that when they crack an unfunny joke, the people that are there, still laugh. Thay are funny sometimes, but I think they were better at the last Olympics.

Fatso is back! :D I love it.
I think i still have it on tape from 2000, when they made the Sydney mascots do bomb dives from the 10m tower at the dive pool. Then they made fatso do it...hahaha, biggest splash wins :p

Law of diminishing returns. It was new in 2000, the monday dump tanked, and this years dream is basically the same as the Sydney version but they keep trotting out the same punchlines involving rooting, rubbish, and stupid people. I still get a laugh out of it, but would of liked something more polished and original.

Don't mind them. Roy > HG though.

Agreed that Roy is better than HG. HG is just slowly going more and more senile every year.

They are fantastic. I'm of the rare opinion that the Athens Dream is just as good as The Dream from Sydney. Given that it'd be very hard to come up with new material for these two weeks, I think they've latched onto the Greek concept very well.
I wonder how many people who voted yes are from NSW? Nobody I know in Victoria finds them even the least bit amusing.

I agree. I think it is easier for Roy & HG to take the mickey out of Americans and Australians than it would be to joke about Greek culture. I think they've done a fabulous job as usual.
Also, this Olympics has been a far higher standard of competition than ever before, and there are less things to joke about, like the guy who swam the 100m freestyle on his own and nearly drowned, and Kegs in the Judo. Those guys aren't around in 2004.

I've really enjoyed it, as much as I did in 2000. Very funny indeed. :D
Resting on their laurels a little with the lack of innovation, but still worth watching. Won't be buying the DVD like last time though.

Ah, used to be. That's why you're not here any more; we don't want your kind ;)
Perhaps my circle of friends and acquaintances just don't get it. I've tried to find humour in it, but saying "bugger" alot and making funny faces while you yell isn't my thing.

I think they should have commentated the gymnastics more this year. Then I would definitely be watching. :o

I never watched it in 2000. Just wasn't interested. Watched it properly for the first time last night (!!) , had a bit of a laugh at their commentary of the trampoline events. And I definitely found Roy funnier than H.G. straight up.
On a sort of related note, how good would 110% be if it was still on now during the Olympics? (Err, it has finished hasn't it? I don't have my own TV...wouldn't know... :o)

110% is taking a holiday during the Olmypics, like all other Seven programs, should be back the first Wednesday after the Olympics.

Ahh. I know shows are taking a break, but I thought 110% was also off because it was axed. IMO, they should show it during the Olympics - it'd be a great laugh!
How much more of 110% will we get before it finally stops airing then?

Kerry O'Keefe's keeping that show alive singlehandedly, when he's on the show is worth watching coz of him, the rest of them are boring and a disgrace

You can still buy it at the Channel 7 online store.

The Dream will never be topped - even journos from overseas were giving it column inches back in 2000. TD In Athens is still a good laugh but we're too familiar with it for the laughing to be quite as loud...

Maybe it was the vibe of the Sydney games, but i can count on one hand the times i laugh every night at their jokes.

Earlier on in the Olympics I didn't think it was nearly as good as the Sydney version. But recently it's started to get a lot better. It's not hilarious, but I enjoy the irreverence.

Love Roy and HG, they provided a comical approach to issues that would sometimes be viewed as being a bit too important if Mr Rogue was to intervene.
The plate smashing is excellent and like Fatso's ancestor being uncovered by the two Greek archeologists. However, there hasn't been a stuffed moscot around this time that has caused such controvery as Fatso did in 2000. The IOC were threatening legal action after asking for a please explain because Fatso became so popular and athletes, including Ian 'The Lion of Athens' Thorpe took him up under thier arms when receiving medals.
Any thoughts on Fatso people ?
The popularity of them in Victoria might be questionable because they are very rugby oriented, but something ot many know is that Greg Pickhaver (HG Nelson) actually started his career in Melbourne on community radio station 3RRR 102.7 FM

HG is a mad Carlton supporter, so I am more inclined to believe that he isn't rugby oriented. The two do commentate the grand final every year though.

They should show the sydney series again after this one is finished.

I thinks its every bit as good as Sydney, if not better. I love Roy but HG has been on fire so far. Funny funny funny.
Funniest show on TV by a LONG way. They put Merrick and Rosso to shame. Only idiots like Robert Fidgeon and insular Victorians would think otherwise.

And uptight tools who think that the Olympics "deserve more respect". (There was a letter in the Hun with words to that effect).

He is orignally a croweater. He went to Adelaide Boys High and grew up a mad West Torrens supporter. On their radio show he used to make reference to Freddie Bills quite a bit (A torrens champion in the 60's and early 70's) and make some of the most obscure South Australian references that only a local would have known.

Alas, even if they wanted to do it I'm pretty sure this would be impossible with Greig Pickhaver currently contracted to TEN.
