I am pretty sure that was Rodney Eade in a Peter Rhode mask. The players actually came to play for the coash or was it just respect for Crofty and Garlo

Maybe it's time for Crofty to take the reigns! :D :D

Can only hope it was the latter - if they'd played such unaccountable footy under Eade, he would have killed them all by three qurter time.
I hope it wasn't Eade as we really should have slaughtered he Kangas. 50+ points. We only really played 3 quarters and still had numerous turnovers/errors that they didn't capitalize on.

you guys are hard to please we had previously won 5 quarters from 28 I think this match was whole lot better than that.

Better get used to the coming reign of Eade - he would have spewed at that unaccountable effort.

Did you say you were not at the game and was actually watching sydney v essendon. Somehow i suspect rocket would be happy witha 30point win.

Have not seen the game, but read the long game thread on the main board. Key point made by neutral fans was extreme lack of accountablity.
Eade would not have been happy at all.

I actually thought that Eade would be happy with this as we are able to comprehensively beat a team vying for a top 8 position yet still play an unaccountable style of football. This would give him some heart as he can see major improvement in a list that can play quality football when they really set their minds to it.

I will take an unaccounatable side that wins the game to an accountable side that looses the game any day and I hope Rocket is more adaptable than just accountable football.
Depending on the opposition and your personnel some games you play one on one accountable football to win and other games you prefer a shoot out. We had already beaten North in a shoot out this year and they like to play us in a one on one scrap with their bigger bodies.
Surely a shoot out was the way to go and I hope Rocket is not a one dimension game plan coach

This team could do with a whole season of accountable football before it can afford the luxury of a shoot-out. I am fairly confident Rocket would have given them a real bake.

Mods! Terry Wallace has snuck onto the Board.
That's the kind of thinking that's helped get us into this mess. I've posted here many times that I'll take a season of playing accountable long kicking footy and losing to more wins from shoot=outs.
The former approach will make us winners in the future, the latter will get us nowhere.

What a single minded approach, flexibility is the name of the game. If you are such an expert you would know that one on one accountable football is something we might aspire to once we put on more bulk over the summer . Why get stuck into Terry Wallace I can remember Terry used to out coach rocket a treat refer 1997 final. Get over it man forgot the sour grapes he was great for us when he was there.
I thought your views used to be o/k but preferring to loose (except this week for a draft pick) I do not know. I go to the game hoping we win obviously you would prefer to loose as long as we play one on one footy. The logic in this is crazy
I think rocket is much better than rhode but terry wallace he is not. He should do much better than terry next year becuase our list is far superior to the tigers.
Just look when rocket left sydney they improved under Roos. When Terry left the dogs we went backwards. I suppose you will now call on your other croney's to support you with reply threads

There would be alot of things that Eade would have been ecstatic with and some things that would have made him cringe.I dont think any coach would be happy with 25 tackles for a game. That is deplorable.

If you had bothered to read what I'd posted for a while you'd know I'm over Wallce & Brown etc. The reference was to Wallace's style of play only.

If you'd been here longer you'd know I don't profess to be an expert.
I don't really care what you think of my views, but you obviously are unable to grasp a simple point. Yes, I prefer to lose if by losing we improve in the long term and become a team capable of winning finals. Simple as that.

Fascinating - I didn't know I had any cronies. Who are they?

Sorry I but I go there hoping to win if that is a crime then I am guilty. You can say what you like I would think 99.9% of supporters would hope to win. You play a game to suit your team when Brisbane are playing well they are not very accountable they just win the ball kick long and let the oppoisition worry about them this the model I would like us to aspire to.
