i cant see the club trading eagle considering he has such a close bond with cooney. eagle looked overly happy when the coon kicked truly sat nite. i think we should keep him regardless because he is suited to telstra and has been very good contributer this year. eade has stated that we will be playing a running style of game next year and eagle fits that mould.

Yeah i noticed that very early on in the season (N.T pre-season game and Wizard Cup game).
I heard a while ago that he is mates with Eagles brother over in S.A and actually wore a pair of Nathans (Doggies leggings and socks) at a West Adelaide training session late last season.

true
I think we should keep Eagleton because he's an outstanding player. The fact that he and puck puck are good friends is a bonus.

Exactamundo.
Can't believe the same people who have him 4th in the Ching want to also trade him.
Nathan has 2 brothers at West Adelaide, one of them was/is a good friend of Cooney.

We waited three years for Eagle to come good and now we want to trade him? That doesnt make sense to me.

Eagleton is another of Rohdes success stories. Whilst Rohde has been bagged here, Eagleton had almost fallen off the face of the earth as a footballer under Wallace.
Eagle did a pretty good job on Harvey on the weekend

Eagleton's biggest problem is consistency like many of our players plus he is judged harshly because we gave up two players for him.

Has anyone noticed that he seems to get up for the good sides and the big games? This season he played a blinder against Stkilda and Brisbane aswell as last weeks game against the roos.

hmm, there a bit too much man-love in the room :)
my view on eago is well known, and I hope eade has an open mind on what to do with him - i.e. either get him playing accountable footy (along with half the team), or trade him for a type of player we have less of (because he is the type of player we have more of, if that makes sense).
since there are so many trade hypos going around, heres another one, would you trade eago for a deal involving rivers or mcdougal coming to us?

Agreed. The problem is his age. When you are over 25 and are not one of the favored sons you run the risk of being pensioned off here regardless if you are still a good contributor. :)

I have been one of the biggest Eagleton supporters here and i know for a fact he has a lot of respect within the team.

Thats cool then cos he ain't over 25. He's 25 right now and playing his 150th game, so I can't see age being a problem. What we lack is guys in their middle ages as footballers, the Eagle is a guy who is not old and is a good player
The Eagle has got years left in him, he's closer in age to Lindsay Gilbee than he is to Chris Grant and could end up playing close to 300 games if he keeps up his form and fitness

The Eagle will be a great contributor for us over the next few years.
