Eade said that he would be very unlilkely to trade players such as Smith, Westy, Johnno, Grant or Darce as he sees their experience an essential factor in fast tracking the youngsters. He refered to them as being 'part of the furniture', so I guess unless some incredibly appealing trade deal is offerred, our 'veterans' will all be here next year. :)

He also said that he is going to address the playing group in a week or so before they all head off on holiday to let them know what to expect when they get back.

He seemed pretty positive we had a good list.

Can't recall anything else that was said that hasn't already been spoken about.

Cheers - Pete

Eade also highlighted how we had few players in the middle age bracket.

Whitnall, 25, KPP, look for a trade in the offseason.

Presume your speculation, not what he said?

No need for whitnall unless you want to get him on the cheap
*and I mean REALLY cheap*

3 and 6 are good things, and even 20 is a valued commodity.
Don't dump the good players that we have got just yet.

The price tag is what turns you off Whitnall aswell as his injury problems.Anyone who questions his ability is either a moron or doesn't watch enough footy.Just needs to string some games together. There were reports the other day that he is on a back ended contract and would be earning $600,000 plus next season. That is a monstrous fee for a player that hasn't been fit since 2001.We cant and wont be touching that.

Just watched Eade on White Line Fever last night and he also stated that we had a high number of running players.
I believe he will introduce a couple of strong bodied players to our list just to balance it out.
Expect the name of McGough to again feature come draft time in exchange of one of our running players.
