As was mentioned in some papers during the search for our coach The Age has reported we are looking strongly at doing away with the traditional position of Football Manager.Apparently we are toying with the idea of having Eade report directly to Cam Rose.If this is true I would hope we get an experience coach like Shaw,Brittain or even Hutchinson to give Eade a chop out.Seems like alot of work for a senior coach.

Rodney Eade and the Western Bulldogs have wasted little time in creating their future together, with critical football department appointments expected to be made as soon as next week.
Eade flew to Melbourne on Tuesday for a day-long strategic planning meeting with Bulldog chief executive Campbell Rose.
That night he presented his plans for the team to a group of major sponsors and supporters at the Toorak home of president David Smorgon.
Eade began interviewing members of the existing football department and Peter Rohde's assistants yesterday, a task he is expected to complete today.
This will pave the way for a restructure of the football department at Whitten Oval that is likely to have the former Sydney coach manage all football operations and report directly to Rose.

The Dogs' season and Rohde's tenure as senior coach will finish with Sunday's match against Essendon at Telstra Dome. Three days later, Eade will address the players for the first time, at which point several further departures and arrivals could be confirmed.
Eade said yesterday he had been briefed by Rose and would use that information along with his interviews with staff to determine the composition of the new Bulldog football department.
"I was given a fair bit of information on the staff and what the structure is at the moment," said Eade.
"Weaknesses and strengths were highlighted and I've got to interview some people who are already in those positions and establish my own opinions. We'll probably restructure and change not only some people but a few roles as well.
"We won't reinvent the wheel but, perhaps, create our own wheel. We should start finalising things as early as next week."
Former Essendon football manager and Cricket Australia executive Matthew Drain has been touted as a likely member of Eade's new team.
Drain worked with Eade under Denis Pagan at North Melbourne in the mid-1990s and later joined him in Sydney. It is understood the club had Drain in mind before the decision was made to sack Rohde.
Eade said he had been in contact with Rohde and the two intended to meet but that a date had not yet been set for a debriefing.
"I've made contact with him (Rohde) and he's happy to catch up at the right time," Eade said. "I'll leave that in his court but he's indicated that he's happy for us to get together. I'm looking forward to seeing him."
The decision to alter the structure of the football department and make the senior coach the head figure, in the style of a soccer club manager, is a model also being considered at Melbourne.
