I work at crown casino (in melb duh) and anyway on sat night, Roos and his three assistants played on my blackjack table for about an hour.
They all had a few to drink, so they didn't stop to think about what they were saying, Horse and Ross Lyon are two very funny guys, and were making cracks at each other the whole time.
Anyway, they said some things which you may or may not know.

Roos confirmed that both of Goodes legs are pretty much stuffed for at least this year.

They all think the umpires have done a really pathetic job this year, roos especially mentioned the bad treatment Hall got. (i think everyone knows this already)

They all agree the special bond Hird has with the umpires is not quite right, they don't know how anyone team or player could get such a great run from the maggots.

There were a few other things as well, but i must say it was good to talk to them for about an hour about the footy.
I always liked Roos as a player, but after last night i like him as a person as well.

I didn't know the croupier was allowed to converse with the players on the table? Any signs of players around?

They had already gone back to sydney.
And we are allowed to talk with punters, as long as they game keeps moving.
If we couldn't talk with the players i would of quit a while ago cause it would be way too boring.

Thanks very much, Ron good to hear about some football people who spend time in a social setting. Had it not been for people like you, we might not gain an insight into what happens when they are not in football type mode. It is good to find out form you, because you know ever negative stuff about coaches or players going out in the media.

Obviously off the topic of what Paul revealed, but I have to ask... is being a croupier fun? For some reason it has always held some fascination for me, I would never be able to take it up but I am just curious!

Both of those issues seemed obvious but are now confirmed then. Cheers Ron.
