I can't work out who will win A Grade this year!
And also...

What's the story with Dan Jordan at St Bernards? Hot and cold!
Is the A Grade scribe on drugs? And the others as well?
Are Marcellin in real trouble?
Why did Phil Stevens CEO retire?

Why are Uni so good all of a sudden?

Uni and Xavs have swapped, which is a good thing.
Marcellin will get the arse this week
Dan is an unusual bloke.
Stevo is heading into insurance, which could become very interesting.

D Jordan - if you plan properly for him, you can shut him down, but then there's the other 5 guyd in the forward line to worry about.

Mr Horn has well and truly set new standards of eccentricity over the past few weeks. Can't verify any drug taking habits, but can assure you one of the other scribes returned a clean swab.

Marcellin will need their midfield to fire this weekend or face an early exit.

Phil is going to work for Venue Ratings Agency - focusing not only on sporting venues, but other convention/business centres. Insurance / risk assesment is a significant component.

Uni are good all of a sudden because they tapped into their country/college boy network brilliantly in the recent off-season - and don't be surprised if this continues over the next few years. I can tell you from 1st hand experience they have 50+ senior A grade players at their disposal, and they all love their footy.

I reckon Uni are a great amateur story- what a powerhouse they are going to be in the next decade! Maybe the next Old Xaverians?

Jordan must be stopped on Sunday but they have others around him at his feet who are just as dangerous really.

Phil will be missed, hes run a clean and respected comp and really pushed the interstate concept.

I went to school with Jon Horn and can vouch that he is slighly bizzre bloke but how much betteer than the **************** who wrote last few years!

Uni for premiers, however much I hate to say it!
Their reserves are almost as good as ones.

Well, nice try budy. If you knew anything about the VAFA, you would know that clubs have their players taken by AFL clubs, VFL clubs, interstate clubs; they retire early, go overseas, etc, etc.

To talk of any dynasty is ludicrous, particularly when we are predicting one from a club that hasn't won an A Section flag since 1960. They have been the best team this year, but they are vulnerable. They may be the best next year, but they will still be vulnerable.

Someone said they have 50 A grade standard players - this of course is ridiculous, but even it wer true, they can play only 22 at a time - and the others might look elsewhere so they can sleep in.

Xavs 6/6 and 7/9 will never be repeated. Even they won't do that again.
