He has been on the outer at melbourne all yr ... even seems like jamar might be ahead of him there now.
He is a quality ruckman, remember him tearing apart st.kilda last season at the G!!!
What do ppl think of this? Ive raised it b4 ... But i think now its clear for him to prosper he has to leave demonland ... Hes young and could be our numero uno fror the next 5-8 yrs.
What would we have to offer to get him over to the blues?
What about Whitnall and sporn to Melbourne for Jolly and Armstrong to Carlton?
Win win i'd say, melbourne need another fwd to help out neitz and holland etc, sporn would also be a good fit with dannihers style of play. jolly obviously would be fantastic in ruck and someone like armstrong is a developing midfielder.
Not a fan, just quietly.
Haven't seen much of Jolly, and find Armstrong to be tremendously overrated.
I think it's definitely worth sussing out. Jolly's been battling a knee injury all year but is a promising ruckman. And Demons already have Jamar as a backup for White. But, I've got a feeling he's pretty highly rated by Daniher and may not be in our reach.
I don't know why Sporn keeps coming up in these trade wishes though, I hope we keep him.

ditto
keep Sporny. Gives 150% all of the time and will be an excellent player for us.
Also, I don't think he's as injury prone as has been made out on this site. He had two unfortunate injuries last year.....How does that make him injury prone???

well sporn would be a sought after youngster i would have thought ... and we need more big men ...so thats prolly why ppl are offering sporn and whitnall, together we could get a really good deal.
i mean another good trade could be (without touching sporn who i rate also):
seaby FOR whitnall
this would give us a 20 year old ruck prospect who could develop into a great ruckman as we continue to develop.
it would give the weagles a more experienced fwd (dont do a freo and rely on kids) and worsfold rates him highly and lance no matter what his critics say does work well with a dominant midfield which the weagles do have.
i'd say win win for both parties. as lance and fev dont go well together. and west coast can afford to get rid of a big man, as they'd still have cox and gardner,

seaby FOR whitnall
That's a trade that could work. I heard on SEN radio this morining that woosha is definately interested in Big Red.
I don't know why but I still hope we persist with Whitnall. Am I clinging onto something that just isn't there??

i know ive been like that too ....
but i think its better we get something good for him now ... instead of holding onto him and have him turn into the next nick holland or something (aka useless).
i think what fev needs is a big CHF, ala anthony rocca (although obviously not him). someone who'd exert physical pressure and smash ppl who get in fev's leads. we all know how well tazza and rocca work together, we need fev to get in a partnership with someone like that, as tazza and fev are quite similar players.
i think the old rumor was wirrapunda for whitnall, but he's pulled his head out of his arse and i dont think the weagles would let him go.

Seaby will be a GUN - no doubt & WCE have done all the hard work developing this guy.
Its the only trade that has represented value regarding Lance I have heard.
unfortunately, Its us making up deals - apples for oranges, give you 2 red marbles for a semi bowler.... blah blah - it wont happen.
But Seaby will be a GUN no doubts about that.
Gee Imagine if Judd/ Mark / TP see's this..... he'll go nuts !
Ok, this is good thinking guys.
But I won't trade Lance and Sporn for Jolly - I don't know if I rate Jolly that highly, so I'd prefer to keep Lance. I don't want to trade Sporn to anyone, unless its Judd.
Lance for Seaby could work.

Lance for Seaby you would take in a heartbeat..........WCE wont want a bar of it.

What about this for a straight swap.
Whitnall for Ottens
Both around the same age...both can play Follower/Forward - both could do with a change of club....
What do you think?

Other clubs would throw a lot more at Richmond for Ottens. no chance.

Well Sporn has just re-signed for 2 years so we'll have to come up with different trade bait. Congrats Trent!
Edit: Forgot the all important hyphen so he re-signs instead of resigns.
Great news.
Good stuff Sporny.
Whitnall for Ottens would be awesome for us, altho I think Terry Wheeler would be lynched!
I'd take Seaby for Whitnall - could be a good win-win trade that, but i don't think it'll happen either. I'm guessing Eagles will be looking to play Gardiner up forward next year, rotating with Cox in the Ruck and Seaby off the bench.
Sporn's re-signing follows Prendergast and Thornton, it's good to see we're working hard to secure our young talent so quickly after the end of the season.

Agree - especially considering clubs like Hawthorn, Rich and the Bullies are going to be actively chasing other players and dangling their significant carrots at other clubs.
Anyone out there know which other players are out of contract at Carlton?
