Just wanted to know a couple of things about the Sandover Medal winner. I heard he's Byron's cousin, is this true? Also, this is his first full senior year of footy in the WAFL yet he's 29 next month, where has he been hiding and has there been any AFL interest in him at any stage? I'm thinking about giving Connolly a call.... :D

Pretty sure he was on the Bombers list at some stage, possibly around the late 90s

I think that was Byrons brother, Marcus. As far as i know Alistair is 31 and he won a sandover with Peel Thunder a couple of years back(if i'm wrong help me out)

nah your right, Marcus was the one on Essendons list, my mates got the 2000 team poster on his wall and he is on it.

Wasn't that Marcus Picken?

Marcus Picken son of the great Billy Picken was on Brisbanes list and the Bulldogs list for a few years but failed to make an impact.

Nope, it was Pickett, he looked exactly like Byron as well.

Alistair was a late starter in WAFL due to injury problems he's had. He actually started out at West Perth but due to his injuries he "retired" from WAFL and played country football for a bit.

Peel called him up (at age 27 I think) and got him back into it.
