Surely Andrew Jarman is joking when he suggests we trade Stenglein to West Coast. Carlton get Daniel Kerr and we end up with Lance Whitnall. No doubting the guy has got talent, but he doesn't work hard enough to keep his weight down and fitness up.

He's also pretty old to isn't he?

Whitnall for Stenglien via Kerr is a joke

I think Jars' main motivation for wanting this - is to try and get someone else in the state fatter than him

if kerr was going to be traded (which the club said he wont), wouldnt u guys take him in a straight swap for stenglein??

Lets just say I'd be very happy if that 3-way trade came about. Not that Lance wouldn't necessarily return to his best at another club, but Kerr's the pick of those 3 if you ask me.

Living in Perth it was stated on the news that the Crows wanted either Kerr or I think it was Cox the ruckman, and that neither of them were up for trade, and that talks had stalled as the eagles were offering average players for Stegs, so you never know we may get nothing and he may end up playing in Victoria. I wouldnt take Whitnall in a pink fit, average player, to many injuries and has the old blinder but then goes missing

i think the crows are a bit bold asking for cox (number 1 ruckman) or kerr for stenglein ...

if i was them id be after a staker, seaby type, one that you can build a side around your other youngsters ... but those 2 mentioneed have very high currency.

about lance if he gets the right environment he will prosper, doubt adelaide would be that environment tho ... i think he needs to go to a team with other key fwds already, or one that has a dynamic midfield (ie eagles).

but id take kerr in an instant for him, he's the type of player we don't have in our midfield ... plus i dont think the riff b/w kerr and cousins is all over.

Absolutely ! - Kerr is a class act...which is why I don't think W Coast or Adelaide would let Carlton have him for Big Red

Is Whitnall only 23??

If he is under Craig this MAY benefit him.

This just CANNOT be true.

Hmmmm. Stiffy what do you make of this development??:)

Say NO to Lance.

Not what we need. Lets face it people, Carlton want talls and if Whitnall was that good why would they trade him??????

I would be majorly peeved off if this happened. I would do Kerr is a flash tho:D

Agreed. I had palpitations for a moment with the name "Whitnall" on the Board.:(

Kerr would be an excellent choice but IMO we have no chance of this happening.

I still have a firm belief that it will be Waters and 2nd Rounder.

Whitnall is 25. In 2000 (at age 21), he would have probably been in the best 20 players in the league. In 2004, he'd be lucky to be in the best 200.

Let's face it, he's peaked & he ain't worth a punt. Been there done that.
