movies make me fall asleep :confused:
The movies put me to sleep so i wouldn't bother with the books.

Agreed, the books created a lot of magic about them as you read them, however, the movies tended to be long and tedious.

Well for me long books tend to fare better than long movies. Since the book itself is just over 1000 pages with heaps of appendixes with background info, Peter Jackson was bound to have some difficulty in terms of what to include and what to leave out.
well i watched the movies b4 i started to read the books and im currently in the middle of reading the two towers. And i agree when i say the books are better
