We need Key position players as well they are harder to come by. Is P Smith coming back next year. Thinking about it i am really concerned about West perths chances next year. T lo and chambers may also be leaving. Heap of the guys in victoria would make it playing i the wafl that where wests need to look. Murray is a great example

Too many WAFL clubs are going for the "easy" option of recruiting from interstate. eg. Subi, North (formerly East) Perth, West Perth.
West Perth has a good zone, give the juniors from this zone a chance and build to a premiership, rather than try to buy a premiership.

WP, East and South Freo have great zones. Claremont get all the private schools.
I believe the other clubs have dud zones. Luckily for Subi they have a bit of cash and can buy some decent players. East Perth live off the Toast.
Have to feel a bit sorry for Swanny and Perth. No money + Dud zones

It just gets worse for west perth. Chambers and T longmuir both heading east. With Afl trade week over clubs will be finalising there list before the draft, lets hope west perth can pick up a couple of delisted players.

You're kidding right!
South Freo don't have many kids to pick from at all. We have the smallest zone by far- next is East Perth i believe. The largest is East Freo which has almost 30 -40 % more kids to pick from.
What South freo do is WORK their Zone very well and we have a good Country area to pick from. But then again some other clubs have great country zones to pick from.
As for Perth and Swans; they have a very good zone to choose from

I'm from Albury-Wodonga and Darren Harris and Geoff Valentine were in town at the weekend interviewing prospective recruits.
Corowa-Rutherglen's Ryan MacKenzie, who won the Ovens and Murray league best and fairest at just 20yo, and North Albury's Matt Murray (younger brother of former Port Adelaide player Derek and St Kilda player Alan) were among the players they interviewed.
MacKenzie looks like joining East Perth though and Murray, if he goes anywhere will go to West Perth.
West Perth is interested in Steve McKee but he may return to his original club, Myrtleford, also in the Ovens and Murray league.
Interestingly, Brad Murray is from Myrtleford and they are having a huge crack at trying to get him back also.
