i know he has kicked more goals in a game before and had a lot more possessions but i think yesterday was the best game he has played for essendon

beside the fact that he kicked 9 straight, an amazing effort, i have never seen his hands that clean

he kicked 5 in the 2nd quarter when all looked lost
he was scragged and held onto all day yet this didnt stop him from marking the ball
i cant remember anyone taking so many contested marks in one game
every time the ball was kicked to him you just knew he was going to mark it

great game lloydy, i think he took another step yesterday and turned a game pretty much wayne carey like

Are you forgetting a certain 13 goals against Sydney??? He took contested mark after contested mark that day!

I agree though that this was one sensational effort...........should shut some of those Lloyd bashers who say that he only kicks goals when we are winning!

I agree with you Walshy! He won every 50/50 contest and his hands were vicelike. He was held and scragged all day, and it seemed that he was a man on a mission. For a guy who had 2 corked thighs...his kicking was awesome. The guy is growing in stature and the scaring thing is...he is going to get better. He hasn't hit his peak yet.

Lloyd's quick hands to Caracella after taking a strong grab (infront of the MCC members), after being held, was brilliant.

It was a great day. One that i will remember for a long time. My throat is still killing me!

'Twas a great effort by him and also the team as a whole. To come back from that far down was just sensational. So many highlights. Taking the ball the length of the ground after Hird's goal square smother, Lloyd's goals, Johnno's work round the packs. Looking forward to watching it tonight.

The only lowlight for me was Solly's effort in the last quarter. Stupid sod :(
