The Crows could do a lot worse than to look at the video of yesterday's Essendon V Kangaroos match and see what a really committed team looks like. Despite being 69 points down they didn't give in for a minute and played some wonderfully inspired football.

Until the Crows approach every match as if it was their last on this earth they are not good enough to be in the finals.

I agree. It's been interesting to hear Nigel Smart's comments after the match. He's been pretty strong about the team's inability to win crunch games. I wonder if there are issues with the coach here. His interview in the Footy Record intimated that it would take time for the team to gel under Ayers.

I've had a fair bit of time for Ayers up until now, but I'm wondering if maybe he's struggling to get these guys to play as a team. As for Mark Mickan as Forward Coach....that would have to be a major mistake, and should be rectified asap.

I don't think you could blame Ayresy here, he can only do so much to get the team up for the game but the buck has to stop with the players. Sure Ayresy can try to gel us as a team, but I'm more concerned with our lack of work ethic, we should be willing to sacrifice everything to win, but we're just not doing that at the moment and Ayresy can't be at fault for that. I think the blame must fall squarely on the shoulders of the players.

I Agree Ant
Its not Ayres fault.
Ive also had a swag of time for Ayres this year; even though some of his match ups appear either late or lacking; our paltry kicking is not his fault.

One things for sure this week, the boys will man up in their forward line when there is precious seconds left on the clock.
