Is what i would be saying if it weren't for jennifer love hewitt. her efforts keep "Little Women" as by far the worst movie i've seen ever. In fact she looked so fine that "The World According To Garp" wasn't even challenged in the number two spot.

I would put in a critique of the movie right here but there was actually no plot, comedy, drama, emotion, in fact anything TO critique. So sacriligious to garfield it was, that it wouldn't surprise me if the whole crew used the comic strip as toilet paper during its production. On returning home i found myself embedded in the comic strip to try and erase the debacle that was the movie from my memory.

2004 has been a shocking year for me at the cinemas, in order of worst to not as bad;

1. The big bounce (walked out)
2. Garfied (no plot, nothing funny, not actually entertainment)
3. Shrek II (biggest let down of all time given the magic that was Shrek one, if i wanted to watch fat ugly women (in the form of kim clijsters and the fairy godmother) i would stick to daytime free-to-air tv)
4. The Girl Next Door (once again a hot chick saves the plotless, lifeless, intellectless movie, thank you elisha cuthbert)

I seen it a while ago, so i can't remember all of it, but i didn't mind it.
Wasn't the greatest thing ever, but keep me entertained for 90 minutes or so.
The end was kinda crappy, but up till then was ok.

But looking at your worst movies list i can tell you haven't seen AvP yet, cause there is no way that couldn't be #1.

I saw it a couple of months ago, and didn't really think it was that bad..

shrek II was for the female audience only.

what an utter disappointment. that was only marginally better than monsters inc. what is the obsession with puss in boots, the guy was just annoying, the "awww" with the eyes - give me a break. the whole world is not a 13 year old girl with an IQ lower than that number. ffs, that was the biggest let down of a movie i think i've ever seen - the story was incredibly week, the humour was forced (not subtle and flowing like shrek I), and the end was not just predictable, but not even "fun" predictable like shrek I. i am not going to play spoiler, but if this develops into a spoiler thread there are many other aspects of the storyline that i have grievances with! thank bloody christ i didn't pay for my ticket, that has to go down as the worst sequel i think i've ever seen. i'm going to have to crack open shrek I and have a watch of it just to relieve myself.

Didnt mind Garfield... didnt like it... but didnt mind it.

Understood it was for a teeny audience but you have to have those movies too ya know!

If not for Jenniger Love Hewitt and Bill Murray however I probably would have walked out.

agreed. why do you bother supporting these bombs?

Time to lose the schoolboy crushes and stop going to movies just because such and such an actress is in it. You'll be much less disappointed. Good looking girls are dime a dozen, good movies aren't.

clever marketing that lures my upper-middle class brain into believing that i should go and see a movie.

actually i went to see garfield more out of obligation because of my love of the comic, and i went to see shrek II out of obligation to my enjoyment of shrek I.

Not the worst movie ever, the Village takes that prize IMO

Still pretty bad though, luckily JLH was in it and looked very nice indeed

Shrek II was so boring. I found during the middle hour of shrek I was boring too. I wouldnt go see garfield, because he is the comic king of one liners. Trying to make a 90 min movie out of one-liners must of been very hard.

especially when the movie is nothing like the comic and has no one liners at all.

Wouldn't surprise me either considering that the strips been toilet paper material for the last 20 years of it's run.

Cat is fat, cat makes fun of Jon about either his stupidity or lack of success with females, cat sleeps, dog does something stupid, mouse goes about house as it pleases, tv show with a stupid theme is on for cat to be bored by..

That about covers it. It's kept around more as marketing than anything else.

did no one else see the big bounce
that movie was the most terrible, god awful movie. the acting was worse than house of bulger, the script worse than both the american pie sequel attempt - loser (u know the one with jason biggs and mena suvari that had the song teenage dirtbag, yet half of the scenes didnt exist), and ocean's eleven, the quality of actor is the lowest ever, and the token blonde holding it up is about as hot as christi malthouse, which although somewhat attractive, cannot hold up a plot. needs to be closer to britney or anna kourn levels - similar to how kiera nightley holds up all her movies. the vinnie jones cameo should have been saved for later as well, far too early leaving no surprises whatsoever.
garfield is a clear demonstration of american humour - in the same vein as seinfeld, will and grace, and all the ********ty comedies held up by the comedy channel and 2am free to air tv. obvious, in your face humour, where you would need to be both arrogant and stupid to laugh

it probably was later but after realising how bad the movie was the script was probably re-written to make it earlier

all three mediums you've mentioned there are nothing like each other. seinfeld is a great show. will and grace does the job if nothing else is on.
