Why do Fremantle never play in Brisbane? I have been waiting since 2002 to welcome Mr Headland back.

Also, why do we have to travel away from home two weeks in a row including one to Western Australia. If we need to travel 2 weeks in a row, at least make the both to Melbourne to lessen the km's travelled. Sounds a bit simple I know, but we are talking about the AFL!!!!

The 3 in a row with the week off more then makes up for the 2 weeks away.

Actually, It would be good if we finally got a game at Brisbane because it would be interesting to see how we would fare there.

Last time we were there we were a bottom four side who couldnt even beat your mob or win away from home. We are not a bottom four side anymore and that the GABBA has proven to be very similar to Subiaco (Im am not cocky, Im not saying we would win though, it just would be interesting).

Headland would probably get booed heavily in Brisbane.

I don't get it. The longest 'regular' trip in the AFL (excluding the irregular Darwin stuff) is Perth to Brisbane.

The Lions get to do it twice in 05. Fremantle hasn't done it for a few years. I'm not saying its deliberate favouritism (cos its definitely not), but it does seem pretty darn stoopid.

Well, that ain't a bad draw. St. Kilda first up at the Gabba, that should be a rowdy kick-start to the home and away season. Also looking forward to Round 5 against WCE at the Gabba. Considering our losses against them this year, it'll be interesting to see whether we can reverse that next season.

Go Lions!

Why doesn't the AFL do what it really wants.
Let brisbane fly to Perth for every single game.
We can have Subiaco as our home ground.
C'mon Mr Demetriou why dont you say how you really feel about the lions dominace.!!

Premierships in the last 8 years:

1997.......Adelaide
1998.......Adelaide
1999.......North Melbourne Kangaroos
2000.......Essendon
2001.......Brisbane Lions
2002.......Brisbane Lions
2003.......Brisbane Lions
2004.......Port Adelaide

That's 6 of the last 8 to the dreaded "Interstaters"

The more the AFL tries to rig the draw to favour the Vic glamour sides, the more the soft underbellies of Eddiewood and Essen-Sheedy become exposed.

They know they perform like ********e away from the comforts of the MCG and Telstra dome so they both get 16 or 17 games each there a season as a form of "insurance".

Maybe one day they'll wake up to the fact that the cushier the ride, the softer they become.

Let them play their silly little games.

The "Interstaters" aren't frightened anymore about taking them on at their fabled "home of football" and rubbing their noses in it.

Or even rubbing each others noses in it.

As evidenced by last Saturday's result :o
