Griffen, looks the goods.
How did he go at Draft camp? any comments.

Deledio for me.

Griffin appears the type who could become the next Chris Heffernan.

With that being said I haven't seen enough of Griffin to say he won't be the best out of this years draft.

Should become a far better player than Heff but seems very similar to him.

How is his hardness at the football?

After watching him play in the National under 18s he looks like more of the mould of a nick stevens he just racks up the possesions uses the ball very well.

That's a relief then.

When I first read about him he sounded like Chris Heffernan all over again.

i would prefer franklin or roughead being a saints fan we can throw them down the backline for stability (if needed.) But i think the real answer to this question is what club would benefit and i would say... if West Coast picked up Lance Franklin they would benefit enormously. They have a young list and need a key foward to take a good mark. And it looks like Franklin has a promising future

West Coast have a stack of promising young key forwards in McDougall, Staker, Seaby and Hansen along with Quinten Lynch if he counts.

Obviously franklin. KPP is a rare commodity

Bit like the Bradley vs Billy Morrison poll last year. Let's revisit in two years because virtually none of us have seen any of them play.

Or do we wait for Colin Wisbey's opinion???? and take that as gospel?

Theres talk that west coast might pick up nathan thompson. So it sounds like they do need another KPP. Franklin is a top 5 pick and will be a better player than staker and probably a better foward than seaby.

I originally was talking about this years youngsters fool.

I could not resist agreeing with Yze_Magic over how good Sylvia and McLean will be though.

Dockerz you ********!!
McLean and Sylvia are the next two stars of the AFL and for you not to know them just proves my point.
Out of this years crop Deledio is the star in the making has all the attributes to reach the top. Franklin is another Richo and has some attitude problems plus if u draft him and are a Victorian club he'll wanna go home in three years anyway so stuff him.

All vastly overatted, All of them...west coast wont win a final without franklin or a player of tarrants ilk.

Deledio and Franklin didn't really impress the recruiters. Danyle pearce caught everyones eye. Has blistering ppace won the 20m sprint, Agility run and running vertical jump right leg. He set a record for agility bettering byron shcammers mark and equalled steven koops 20m sprint record. One to watch.

Think Tambling would go to pick 7? i wouldn't think so but i can hope. maybe richmond will do a trade that puts us up 3 or whatever spaces their 2nd pick is. But i still doubt if he'd be there at 4.

Don't hold your breath chipsticks. Miller and Wallace will take Deledio at 1 because doggies will hopefully take a KPP like franklin at pick 3. That will leave us with tambling or griffen. Depending on what Hawthorn takes. Probably be Tambling.

Lets just say if tambling or griffen are still their at pick 4 tigers will take either one over Franklin. Which leaves hawthorn to chose from roughead and franklin and then doggies will take who ever is left.

yeh sounds logical but ive been hearing growing speculation that wallace and co are very keen on tambling and dont want to risk letting him through to pick 4... if u do take him at 1 deledio should come to us but if u take deledio bring on tambling "the human highlight reel" , not everly keen on griff, and not keen on franklin At all!

Doggies picked up two midfielders last year so I was wondering whether they would go for the best available tall or another midfielder with their top pick.

If we could get two out of Deledio, Griffen and Tambling it would be great, but I don't think Franklin would be a bad pickup either.

Yeah.

Perfect situation for Richmond is to get 2 of Deledio, Griffen and Tambling with there first 2 picks.

1: Deledio
4: Griffen or Tambling

It would be ideal, but I don't think it will happen as the three midfielders seem to be rated a lot higher than the top KPPs so I would expect them to go with the top 3 picks. As to which one we will take with pick 1, I have no idea at the moment, there is a lot of talk about all three and they are all a genuine chance at this stage.

i was just reading deledio's stats on the murray nushrangers site and he seems to be extremely durable according to that... played ff last few games and was kicking 5 goals bags with 20 possies and around 8 marks, and in the games earlier in the year a few 30+ possies games with goals and consistently with around 8 marks.... with all the marks it makes me wonder if he goes in and under or jsut runs around the wings picking up marks??? if any1 has seen him play in the flesh could they please give us a run down on how he goes about it/?

cheers

No, he is sposed to be a really in and under player, the most out of anyone of the early picks.

He plays midfeild but is 189 so can play key postion also. I beleive his main postion is midfeild but hes played full forward and center half back i think.

He has also played some seniors matches as well and dominated. IMO he has to be taken at 1 because i reckon he is better then Griffen and Tambling would be a good pick up but only if he is left at four because he is a bigger risk then Deledio

Is Franklin really that good?

At Richmond id like Deledio at 1 and either Griffin or Tambling at 4 but if Franklin is as good as you say i wont be too fussed.
