Glad to see Bushy gets recognised by some. He had a very good year and all the naysayers have some egg on their faces now. Coaching staff know best usually. They set every player a role, and looking at that, it provides an interesting insight into who does their roles.

I think the 'difficult tackles' award is a new one, and I'm not exactly sure what defines a 'difficult' tackle, but I can see the wisdom behind it.

The guys like Akermanis will always do the freaky things that most footballers are simply incapable of. It's a waste of time rewarding them and encouraging others to take flying shots from the boundary, for example.

It's all about what is emphasized and valued by the coach. If all the kids want to do the shepherds, smothers, tackles, punches and other 1%ers that the coach wraps them up for, the other stuff will fall into place.

Yeah I agree, I think they are good awards.

A tackle is as good as a kick in that it stops the opposition from getting one. Good to see it being recognised by Brissy.

More like simply rewarding the players for playing a full season ;)

What are some of those awards. You can't be serious
