View Full Version : ottens in a 3 way deal
However the only way the Tigers are likely to get a top ten pick for Ottens is if Collingwood agree to give their pick seven to Geelong, which would in turn give that pick and its own first pick at number 16 to the Tigers for Ottens.
But Collingwood will only give that pick to the Cats if Geelong agree to give them one of James Kelly, James Bartel and Kane Tenace.
However all three players are regarded as "untouchable" by Cats' coach Mark Thompson.
One possible scenario that emerged on Tuesday was Ottens getting to Geelong as part of a three way deal involving Essendon.
Under the deal the Cats would get Ottens and Essendon would get Richmond defender Ty Zantuck and Geelong runner David Wojcinski while the Tigers would get Essendon's first pick and Geelong's first pick.
However Miller said that while that would mean the Tigers would get two first round picks in exhange for Ottens those picks would be selections 14 and 16 with Miller adamant any trade for Ottens must include one pick being in the top 10.
what do you guys think?

I think Miller has to give up on a top 10 pick, its not going to happen. Pick 14 and 16 is still very good and this seems one of the fairest deals flotaing round. Whatever happens hopefully it is sewn up tomorrow.
Hopefully Sydney can deal for a top ten pick, or at least something better than what Geelong have offered, I am not overly happy with what we get out of that deal.

The way its going, Ottens will wind up in the PSD and end up at a club that he doesn't want to play for. Miller has to stop being stubborn, there not much difference in talent for this years draft, so 14 and 16 will be good for him. I hope it's all over by tomorrow arvo.
i somehow feel miller wont accept this deal just yet. i think he will wait for a better offer, and if that doesnt occur he will take this deal, not that he would want to. i doubt ottens will end up in the pre season draft with us getting nothing for him...... just my thought......

No way will Ottens end up in the psd. The ferals will burn down puntroad and millers credentials will be shot.
Ottens and Geelong have us by the balls and i cant see Sydney enticing him north, so 2 mid teen picks is probably the best result we can hope for.
From the time Ottens stabbed us in the back by quiting our great football club to this day, we were always going to be FKD over. Fk you Ottens i hope you crash and burn where ever you end up you rottten sack of Cra-p.
We'll c you in 3 years you overpaid loser. On top of the ladder.

I thought we were getting 2 draft picks for Ottens anyway. We are not getting anything from Zantuck. We should be getting 3 draft picks, not 2.

Good to see him holding out for best offer IMO,15 other clubs would shaft us if they had Ottens and we were chasing him.Push for the best offer possible I say even if it is a bit too much to ask, remember all other clubs kick us when we are down dont do them any favours.

what do you guys think?NO WAY
For starters Essendon would get 2 good seasoned footballers for one pick , they gain to much out of that .
From Geelongs original offer of picks 16 , 32 , Gardiner and Enright , we would be gaining pick 14 and losing Zantuck , Gardiner , Enright and pick 32 .
Do you guys think pick 14 is worth all that?
This is an absolutely ridiculous scenario and sounds to me like the work of "captain hypocrisy" himself Mr. Kevin Sheedy ........... your going to have to come up with something better than that if you want Zantuck Kev ............. That`s if we could even be bothered dealing with old forked tongue himself .
The more this goes on the more i like the sound of Geelongs original offer .
i cant believe we are being held to ransom by a bunch of handbags and a big tall guy with no ticker, if he showed half as much fight in him on the footy field this season as he is for the mighty doillar now, he wouldve got his 400k a season from us no problem.... ********A!
geelong along with their supporters are too smug for my liking, hope we end up dealing with sydney. Go on Otto walk into the pre season draft, call our bluff! and end up at the hawks ;) now that thommo is gone they have cash.. go for whitnall cats and his 500k salary not to mention his 500kg ass!
I am just over this crap, the sooner this traitor is gone, the better and we can start focusing on the positives, like players who get paid what theyre worth,TW and our new batch of kids, and hopefully goodbye to overpaid monkeys for good

Hi Guys This Is My First Post!
Why Not Cut Out The Middle Men
And Deal With Either Coll Or Haw
Directly
Coll For Pick 7,23 & Mcgough
Or Hawthorn For Pick 5,10 We Could
Also Throw In Fiora, Zantuck Or Chaffey.
Hawks Should Have Money Left In Their Cap
Thoughts?
P.s Geelong & Essendon Can Deal With Each Other
They Deserve As Much!

The problem is that Ottens must agree to any trade, he can refuse to go to any team. The only teams we can realistically deal with are Geelong, Sydney and Hawthorn (with a Veale Deal).
if Maggies offer him some good money he will wanna go there...Otto only wants cats because of their money and the Swans have a lot too. Otto better not screw us over.......come on Miller get that pick inside the top 10 plus pick 16 or whatever
