Who will captain our side in 2005.
Riewoldt is definetely going to be a captain in the near future but before we get into our young guns like riewoldt, kosi, bally and dal santo i think they should give a few others the chance before they retire.

For example Aussie, Hudghton and also gherig and i'm serious gherig was the vice capt this year and when hayes was out filled in the role and so i think it could be possible that he gets the job but i doubt it.

I want Aussie to get the job but i think riewoldt will probably get it.

It's out of Gehrig and Hudghton. Period.

I'd love to see Max get the captaincy. He's been a fantastic servant of the club, very loyal and is one of the more vocal players on and off the field.

Gehrig would be a good captain but at this time I'd rather him let his footy do the talking and leave all of the media responsibilities that come with the role to someone better suited to it.

If Riewoldt doesn't get it in 2005 I'd be shocked if he wasn't leading the club in 2006.

If the leadership group was to keep the same six players still at the club and need a replacement for Black, Ball should fill the void.

Agree with you on that Sainter!

Luke Ball would be an awesome addition to the leadership group and a bit surprised he wasnt even there beforehand!

Riewoldt is definately the captain in next 2-3 years!

Riewoldt is the obvious choice, isn't he?

I'd still like to see Max get it, but it is hard to look past Nick.

Luke Ball to replace Black in the leadership group (where Ball should have been in the first place).

I think Aussie will get selected. I really follow the Saints closely, (as i barrack for Richmond), and I think they will be a great side for at least the next 5 years. Hughton also has the ability to be captain, but he sn't one of your better players

Serious question - how does that work, exactly? NOTE: not picking, just curious.

I can't say for him, but I keep an eye on the Tigers myself because my close aunt is a passionate Tiger supporter so I like to see them do well for her. (Just not against us) so that could be a reason I guess?

Most of those guys are too young. Riwoldt doesnt deserve to be captain yet. 2006, i'd say definatly.
I'd pick Aussie, becuase he's a senior player and has really stepped up.
Also someone who was not on that list that i'd like to see as captain is Rob Harvey. It'll probably be his last year. He's a great leader, why not?
