View Full Version : Best of luck, fellas
Well, yup, I supported the doggies after Fitzroy merged. I still have the scarf. And I still have a soft spot for them. So, as bizarre as it might sound, a Brisbane supporter wishing the dogs all the best, good luck this Sunday up here.

sbagman, you're now on my "Favourite BigFooty Posters" list. I KNEW there was something about you that I liked! :D
Yup, you can take the boy out of Sunshine... I admit, I'm a Westy boy too.

Wherabouts in Sunny Sunshine Sbagman?
How comes you 'used' to follow the doggies? How did you escape our clutches? I think that maybe you need some 'reeducation' at the Whitten Institute.:D

I'm from West Sunshine, near Glengala Road and Wright St. I followed the Doggies the year after Fitzroy merged because of the fact that I'm from the West, was born in Footscray, and love supporting unfashionable teams. I went to quite a few games, even had membership, but the passion just wasn't there... and I figured there's no point in continuing the relationship if there just aint the lovin'. Rebounds never work anyway.

Yiikes! Glengala Road. I was born at Footscray Hospital (now Western General), and raised in Sunshine, just off Gilmour Road (runs beside railway line north of wheat silos). Went to sunny Sunshine High, and we used to go down to West Sunshine High on Glengala Road, and play their basketball team. Basketball??!!! It was more like all-out war, but it was fun. Memories.
How's this for a memory? When in the Albion North Primary School choir (won't say what year), I remember travelling to West Sunshine High's auditorium and singing Cat Stevens' "Morning Has Broken" , LOL.
West Sunshine has much to answer for. So do you sbagman! You should be a Doggies fan with a history like that!
