OK - while we sit and watch the tumbleweeds pass by as we wait for draft day....have a go at putting together your best AFC side ever.
I suppose the only criteria is that the side should be picked on what they did with us.....ie Carey and Wellman would struggle based on their AFC output.
from the backline.....
B Hart R Jameson N Smart

T Edwards M Ricciuto K Johnson
A Jarman M Stevens T Bond

Peter Vardy > Troy Bond.
Didn't we do this thing just recently??????:p
indeed we did! who could forget some of the 'colourful' debate, from Rutten over Basset or Jameson at fullback to Blightys scathing attack on Hart (altho im told thats nothing new).

ok - sorry if we did this recently...probably before I started posting....it's just that I'm so bored I'm even thinking of starting a petition to lift the Powerknob ban !!!!
Take your point about Bondy's consistency......it's just that I think he was instrumental in forging our club's success so far.....read on b4 you fall off your chair.. :D
Without going to the videotape.....I think Bondy kicked 3 or 4 against Geelong in that semi in 1997.....2 in the last qtr I think. He certainly played a part in getting us through to the prelim. Also he kicked 4 in the GF - 1 in each qtr..his celebration after his goal in the last qtr is one of the half dozen images that will stay with me from that game.
So - yes consistency is an issue - but for me Bondy and Rehn won us that semi against Geelong....without that - I think our history could be very much different - and that earns him a spot in my 22.
