Will we participate or not, i guess it comes down to how many we delist and pick up in the draft.
However i wouldn't be surprised if they pick up Mckee, they did it a few years ago with Monkhurst

Looks like we will certainly pick up McKee or Keating if they are still there
Don't think we'll have the money for keating tho

If Keating did go into the PSD he would almost certainly not be around by the time we had a selection.
His injury record isn't too good either. We'd need someone who could step into the role and was capable of carrying our ruck division for the season.
Mott's worth considering I suppose. Not sure what happened to him this season, I thought he looked a likely prospect but didn't seem to do anything.
I get the feeling #23 will be spending a lot of time in the ruck this season. And at almost 200cms, athletic and mobile, why the hell not.

Mott isnt the answer. Keating is the one we need. The age (29/10) said that getting rid of both Knobel and Blake will open the salary cap for Keating

i think he could still be there......
Richmond- Like the look of Knobel and Blake
Hawks- Like Blake
Bulldogs said they are not going to participate
colingwood for ashley mcgrath
Kangaroos- ????? They said they like the look of Knobel and Blake..... dont know if they can afford keating after they delisted a minimum wage player in porter.
Freo- Keating wants to come to a Melbourne club
W.C.E.- Keating wants to come to a Melbourne club and they dont need a ruckman
Sydney- Just got Jolly and have Doyle for the future. Keating wants to come to a Melbourne club
Melbourne- Dont need ruckman -White, Jamar, Johnson
Geelong- King, Ottens, Chambers Dont need ruckman
St.Kilda- Yes........We need and want him. Have room in cap if blake and knobel both walk.
I would prefer a combo of
Ackland pick #33 in the ND
Porter PSD
Gives us
Porter
Ackland
Kosi
Brookes
Blake (Hopefully)
If not Blake we have just listed
Stone (196 cm)
Pfitzner (196cm)
So in the washup my ideal would look like this
Porter
Ackland
Kosi
Brookes
Stone
Pfitzner
with McGuire when needed.
Looks better than 2004.

I wouldn't waste a 2nd round pick on Cain Ackland Joffaboy
There are so many ordinary ruckman available that it wouldn't surprise me if Thommo is just happy to go into 2005 with what we've got. As you've said we've promoted Stone and Pfitzner today to go with Kosi and Brooks. That's not to say we won't select a 17/18 year old ruckman in the draft but I can't see the value in adding a Porter/McKee/Mott/Ackland type.
The only ruckman I'd consider is Clark Keating because he has the runs on the board but it would be unlikely that he would leave Brisbane and last until pick 14 in the PSD. His cost would also be a turnoff.
