Deal or No Deal. I'm addicted to this show! :D
Also liked Catch Phrase. Was a big fan of Wheel of Fortune when I was in kindergarten.
Spin the wheel of destiny is a good game on a show ;)
Family Feud :D
The very first gameshow that poped into my head. Well done :D

Supermarket Sweep was clearly the best game show ever.
It's a Knockout. Followed by Gladiators.

I usually can't stand game shows but Sale of the Century was alright.
I loathe Wheel of Fortune. :(

True but the enjoyment you get out of seeing someone reject $100,000 and then end up with 5$ often makes it worthwhile.
It's a Knockout is the king TV Game show
Gladiator wasn't too bad either ...cheetah on the rings humping the female challenger....drool*

Has anyone caught SCREAM PLAY , now that's one strange show..
ps... it's on the E channel Thursday night at around 10.30
give it a try
Channel 7's $Million Dollar Sporting Chance of a Lifetime.
How could it possibly have been axed after only 2 (was it? possibly 3?) episodes?
You had Sandy "Oh my hat!" Roberts in the host's chair and the questions were sensational - a sample:
Question 1 to pay off the credit card: What is Tony Lockett's nickname?
Question 2 to win enough for the cabfare home: On 30 November 1928, Sir Donald Bradman made his test debut at the Exhibition Ground in Brisbane. The question is, on that day what was the barometric pressure in Timbuktu?
Magic.
gladiators was quality
They called Taipan the Lord of the Rings, yet he never won a single match of it  He was weak.

Keynotes with Richard Wilkins....just kidding.
By the way, who remembers The Krypton Factor?
Quite liked that.
Krypton Factor was excellent - always loved the different games.
I love Jeopardy but the best has to be Supermarket Sweep...I got addicted to in the States...people running madly around a supermarket looking for giant Twinkies...brilliant stuff
And yes bring back Gladiators...just lose John Alexander!
Watching Sale of the Century while still in primary school had the effect of turning people into smartarses - that's why I loved it. :)
Seriously, the questions were based on decent facts, that you might find important/interesting. Millionaire seems to have a lot of random stuff.
Man o Man
I remember that show, isnt it the one where, there was one gal and 10 guys, and the guys got pushed in pools or something like that, gladiators was pretty exciting as well, my uncle tried out for it :D

Blankety Blanks with Graham Kennedy...Cyril...Peter the Phantom Puller...and Tony the Mostache Twirler

Yep, that gets my vote too.
What about Ugly Dave telling those fantastic jokes at the end of each show and Graham pashing Noelene with the mike up REAL close.
There was Barry "Muscles" Crighton, Stuart "Stuffy" Wagstaff, Normie Rowe, Marty Rhone......ahh, the list goes on.
Yes, I'm showing my age too but it was the best show by miles.
Man o Man
haha classic
Best was hot streak

Sale of the Century was the best.
The ones today are pretty pathetic in my view.
It's a Knockout.
I never missed a show of this. Loved it!

What was the big ballbreaking chick with the Red Hair called? Gladiators was gold!
I've become addicted to the Einstein Factor on Sunday nights, mainly to get a cheap laugh out of some of the geeks they get on there.

Deal Or No Deal:
-game requires no skill
That's what makes it so exciting! :D You could end up with $200k or $5...this show always has me on the edge of my seat..."take the deal! Take the bloody deal! Fkn TAKE IT!" :p I love it. :o
Has everybody already forgotten Shafted and Greed? Classics...they weren't.
As for an answer, probably Sale of the Century, but all my favourites were part of Hey Hey.
"Don't forget your toothbrush".....
The concept and Tim Ferguson were way before their time
:o

Delta was pretty. The only one who was. I was always disappointed in the "talent" of the male Gladiators...except for the English one...Hunter...

Tower would have been a good choice for a Wahammer 40K movie about space marines...
But didn't one of the male ones (Cougar I think) get accused of with sexual assault by a couple of 15 year olds? Digital rape in the bushes outside the stadium or something equally unsavoury.

I can't remember Tower...oh hang on was he tall (obviously) and blond?
Yes one of them did get charged or accused of something unsavoury with some teenage fans I think it was Cougar...
The men run into each other in my head and unfortunately apart from Vulcan the only one that I can remember clearly is Taipan...and wasn't he ugly...shudders thinking about him...(that said Fury didn't think so as they were the on-screen, off-screen couple)
That whole show was pretty good, despite being somehow very uncool. Taipan was crap, but at least one of the female gladiators is now Russell Crowe's bodyguard/personal trainer. Can't remember her stage name, but her real moniker is Lourene Brevaart <sp?>
I did enjoy the international series, especially when the South African's brought over the guy called Impi, who was the biggest mother********er I have ever seen.

u beat me 2 it - i just flashed back on Gra Gra & dave gray & all :D :D
My vote is for Catch Us If you Can. Candid Camera with $$$

Krypton Factor...was that on the ABC? I think I actually remember it as being rather good!
IAK wins hands down though.
I remember getting up at 6am on weekends to watch It's a Knockout. Terrific show.
Supermarket Sweep was awesome as well. There was this show, also hosted by Ian Turpiee, that was all bright lights and colours that I'd catch every now and then around 5-5.30am during the week.
I think they should replace the host of deal or no deal, or tell his to stop making crap jokes and "X"ing his arms when a person says no deal
What about that robot wars game show, that was pretty entertaining
