OK, thought it was about time to repeat the team voting process from last year to select an AFC consensus starting-18 + 4 interchange players.

All you need to do is select your 1 starting rukman for AFC next year.

There will be another thread where you select 6 forwards, 6 backmen & 5 midfielder, so think about your whole team 1st as no player should be selected twice.

Firstly, Kane I think you need to be banned for even putting Krueger in as a ruckman:p;)

Biglands (with Hudson on the bench, Clarke in SANFL... Its time we develop Hudson and use Clarke only if needed)

I put in Krueger with you in mind Stiffy - serious. :p

Clarke in SANFL...
If that's the way we're going to treat him, then he might as well have retired.

Then again, Clarke would be awfully useful for the Panthers...

I voted for Hudson. He needs to be developed.

By Kreuger I assume you mean Biglands?

I have seen a lot about his viciousness but I dont see it..I was at the Freo game his elbow was late on a smaller person....and anyway you want wimps?

Adelaide have no-one apart from Roo and there were many visits to the tribunal before everyone said ''thats what Roo does'' and loved him for barrelling guys

No you didnt mean Biglands..but my comments stand :p

I voted other just to see how the results are going.
Should have a "click this if you are not a Crow supporter" option so that we can view the results.

Clarke for me, changing with Hudson on the bench.

Biglands to play in a forward pocket taking all ruck duties inside 50.

I am.

We need a physical presence in the forward line.

Ability would be a bonus too. ;)

Biglands gets in the way of other forwards & doesn't help our forward structure IMO.

Though I reckon Craig agrees with you & Stiffy Macca.

Hudson as 1st ruck
Clarke coaching him and changing from the bench.
Biglands in the FP.

Biglands is not the smartest tool in the shed and he will take time to learn his role and keep out of the way of the other forwards.

But he is one scary physical mother, and he would keep the backmen looking over their shoulders a bit. His main role would be to go for the high ball and get it to ground for the crumbers if he can't mark.

You don't get 6 scoring shots in one game playing FP if you don't have some sort of ability ;)

I think people judge Biglands way too harshly. I reckon he can kick his 20 odd goals from FP next year.

Daniel Schell had 6 scoring shots or therabouts in 1 game too. ;)

I watched Biglands closely in the forward line this year & he gets in the way of other players. IMO, better off playing natural instinct fowards such as Perrie, Hentschel, Welsh & Watts/Krueger as backups if required.

Biglands should concentrate on becoming a decent ruckman as his future is not as a forward.

We'll agree to disagree. I beleive (and stats will back me up) we score our best when Biglands plays FP ;) ABility or no ability, his size and agression will make him difficult to match up on. I can guarantee you he gets #1 or #2 tall defender from the opposition sid leaving Hentschel to play his game with less attention paid to him

I still think Clarke is the best option but we do need to give Hudson more game time for when Clarke is gone....

I also do like Biglands being out there as he can be intimidating and we need that....but that doesn't mean he needs to be in the ruck

Since there was nowhere to put the final 4 of my starting 22 i thought i would do it here. Biglands though Hudson is who i would like to see as back up ruckman for Clarke, but up to now for me hasn't shown anywhere near enough to get that possy. Doughty, Massie and Matty Bode would be my final 3 to fill the interchange bench.

I'm with you on this one Macca.

To me he looked good when he played there and just needs more time to adapt.

Hudson then Biglands.

I can't really see the point of starting with Clarke in the ruck. He will probably retire at the end of 2005 so it's time to bring in some new blood. I like the Hudson/Biglands tandem as they are both fairly aggressive.

It has to be Clarke with Hudson on the bench and Biglands providing the forward ruck play.

I think Huddo is the answer and we need to use him as much as possible in 05 while we still have Clarke as a back up.
I would not want to go into 06 with only Biglands and a raw Hudson.

Clarke has signed on for another year, why keep him in the sanfl? doesnt really make sense

R - Hudson

Clarke on the Bench, Biglands up forward.

I think we may get a ruckman in the pre-season draft though.

Clarke.
Hudson coming off the bench. To start off playing the last 10 minutes of a quarter and as the season goes on giving him more and more game time.
Biglands in the forward line.

Biglands or Hudson - whoever is better in preseason
