This week, SUNRISE, the Hollywood debut from one of Germany's great silent directors, F. W. Murnau get's it's Australian DVD release. An absolute must-have to put beside other classic German silent's already out on DVD:

PANDORA'S BOX
METROPOLIS
FAUST
NOSFERATU
CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI

Any other Silent's that you would like to see release on DVD??

Yes, Sunrise is a cracker. Saw it at the Chauvel - great on a big screen.

Still remember that groundbreaking piece of camerawork, with the camera as your eyes travelling over the field as the hubby is off to meet the city gal.

Some of Eisenstein's work would be good on DVD too, if I had a DVD player.

And perhaps some of the better Dr Mabuse series from Lang.
