Gareth Hopkins...he's apparently their wicketkeeper...

He doesn't seem to be in their touring squad tho....unless he came over instead of Fleming? But that seems a little odd...

Yeah

McCullum's being rested so Hopkins has flown over for this match. McMillan is the cover for Fleming

NZ 1/53 after winning the toss

i was shocked when i read McMillan wasnt in the original squad.

Lee 0/22. Obviously the New Zealanders are not scared of him.

No one's scared of that bitch anymore

i was shocked when i read McMillan wasnt in the original squad. The coach said the reason was Astle, Styris and McMillan all play the same way so they thought Marshall was a better option just to provide some variety otherwise it's too easy for the Aussies to plan to knock them all over with the same sort of delivery

2/80 at lunch. Lee and Nicholson have 1 each

Russian

Lee hits again, Styris out, he has 2/29, NZ 3/83

Against who? A weakend NZ side. Any state side could beat this mob.

Lee for Australia.

Kaspawicz is only good on sub-continent pitches.

Lee is good on Australian pitches.

Cooldude

The Kiwis have no hope, their batting is rubbish without Fleming, and their bowling's rubbish without Bond. Without Fleming's leadership they'd be right down there with the Windies and Bangladesh.

You must be joking. Look at Lee's summer last season- got belted by India, including a one-dayer where he conceeded 70 runs off 10 overs for no wickets.

Kaspa has proven himself and deserves a spot over the overrated Lee.

Lee will bounce back.

I don't trust those Kiwis - they'll probably all deliberately get out to Lee in the hope of convincing the Australian selectors to pick him for the Tests!

That's not actually as silly as it sounds...

Kiwis all out 213. Quicks got the top 4 and number 11 (guess who :p), spinners got the others.

MacGill 4/57 (21) 2.71 RPO
Lee 3/52 (16.4) 3.12 RPO
Sinclair 88
Oram 26
Wiseman 21*

In reply, Martin bowled a maiden, Jaques hit Franklin for consecutive boundaries and was out the next ball. 1/9

That might explain why Marshall missed a half volley and Scott Styris missed a rank full toss, unless they're really that ********, surely international batsman should not miss those...

kiwis always seem to find something against the aussies

Sinclair must be a poor player then. He made 88 runs before he could "get himself out". Geez you read some crap on this forum

They're hopeless, the Kiwis.

Good to see Brett Lee back to his usual ways: Getting a few tailenders to make his figures look alright :D

NZL study aussie players 24/7. They will put up a decent fight, but not as good as their last tour.

thier team just isn't as good as last time around so i have to agree

the absence of a real world class bowler like a Shane Bond means it's going to be really tough for the Kiwis

Well take Martyn, Ponting and Warne out of Australia and replace them with first timers and see what happens

First timers like Hodge, Hussey and White?

we wouldn't struggle that much
