I know there is another thread devoted to Glenn's momentous achievement, but the fact that he has actually broken a record in doing it is worth a thread of its own. :D

He now holds the record for the highest ever score by an Australian number 11 batsman, beating Rodney Hogg's 52 against the West Indies in 1984.

Interestingly, if Ponting decides to bat on tomorrow, McGrath only needs another 15 runs to break number 11 record for all countries, which is Richard Collinge's 68* (NZ v Pakistan 1973).

He'll break that 68.

He is in such supreme batting form at the moment, he'll reach three figures!

Probably also holds the record for most test matches played before making a 50.

He took 102 test to score his 500th Test run. That's a long time, considering Brian Lara made 400* in just one INNINGS earlier in the year. But then again, both have different batting abilities.

I would hate to be Gillespie right now. If he goes out he is going to be hated by Glenn McGrath as for once he can actually claim someone cost him a ton like he did when left stranded nearly every innings including his 1* and 0*

The only problem is it could cost the Aussies the win as the Kiwis will now be aiming for a draw so they need at much time as possible

Well... it might attract half of Australia waiting for the bloody show to finish so they can watch McGrath score more runs!

Sunday show ends when the cricket starts. Only cuts off one dayers as they start at 10am

Play cricket and then go to the cricket in the one time that McGrath makes runs, bloody typical

Thinking in SA times here....

So the Sunday Show finishes at 10am, and the cricket starts at 10:30am?

That is half an hour behind Victorian time BTW.

Sunday show finishes at 11am and the cricket starts at 11 in EDST so In SA take off half an hour and the sunday show finishes at 10:30am

*Phew*

So I am not going to miss any of Glenn McGrath.

But the Sunday show is scheduled to finish at that time, but always finishes 15 minutes later

That better not be the case tomorrow.

Just like Steve Waugh when he scored that unbeaten SCG ton, he didn't trouble the scorers the following day.

Same thing happened when Doug Walters scored his hundred in a session in Perth in 74/75 - out the next morning without adding to his score.
