This Game Took Place Around June Or July This Year,unfortunately Couldnt Make It Because Of Distance,had A Mate Playing For Sapphire.the Nswact Afl Website Shows Nothing At All(some Head Office Eh?)so Putting The Feelers Out To Anyone Who May Have Watched Or Played,any Articles Even Just A Score,as I Havent Spoke With Said Friend For Some Time(some Friend Eh?) THis is the District AFL in Canberra, not the former ACTAFL.
SouthCoast won again from all accounts. Most of the good players in the Districts can't be assed paying a hundred or so to go and play a game of footy so as a result it is mainly gumbies and squibs keen on getting a 'rep guernsey' who rock along.

Most of the good players in the Districts can't be assed paying a hundred or so to go and play a game of footy so as a result it is mainly gumbies and squibs keen on getting a 'rep guernsey' who rock along. pretty sure this is the one,you do mean Sapphire,not South Coast dont you?big difference,i had a call from South Coast rep coach asking to play us(Norwest Jets)on our bye weekend,but we had a slight outside chance of finals,so knocked it back.gave him the number of Black Diamond(Newcastle-Central Coast) league to tee up a game. it went ahead on south coast,and South lost by 330 pts for memory.i know what you mean about travel,its probably biggest obstacle in playing a regional champs in nsw/act as opposed to Victoria.are you Belconnen?
