Will be interesting to see how Ervine goes... His counterpart in Tasmania has been less than inspiring to date.

Wow, they've started worse than the 1st XI.

Radio Fremantle just broadcast the score. Radio fremantle are broadcasting the Pura Cup match between WA & Vic. You can find a link for the feed over at www.waca.com.au

WA 2nd XI 158 all out

Bowled out in little over a session, but still went a fast run rate. Ronchi hit 11 boundaries.

Pakistanis 2/23

Gee, wickets aplenty. Have they said anything about the pitch? i.e. is it a green top?

It's being played at James Oval at UWA - it can be a bit of a green top at times, especially this early in the season....

James was looking like rat **** the last time I was at UWA, not sure if they've done a repair job (from the look of things they haven't ;) )

Went down to the game, ronchi batted bloody well. Petrie from willeton took 4/30 odd and looked pretty good. Pakis are lucky to be 7/235, saved by an impressive century by khan. W.A boys bowled well i thought.

Is that the same Matthew Petrie who has been playing for the Qld 2nd XI in recent seasons?

Yep.

One wonders if Edmondson, Magoffin and Petrie are all mates or whether the WACA has been making recruiting drives into Queensland.

They'll be stealing MacKenzie, Brant, Johnson, Rimmington & Asperling next!!!

Latest score from Foxsports is that WA 2nd XI are all out for 192 in their 2nd innings (Danish Kaneria 7 wickets), which leaves Pakistan 93 runs for victory.

Pakistan are 6 for 44

Justin cotzee (spelling?) has 5 wickets

which so far gives him a 10 wicked haul for the match

For goodness sake, I know this is warm-up match but for Pakistan to lose against this standard opposition would be pathetic.

For any of the Perth based boys, do Coetzee or Petrie look the goods or are they simply having a big day out. I remember hearing wraps on Howman and James and Thistle last year only to see a bloke like Thistle dissapoint.

Coetzee looks like he may have what it takes to step up to State level. Not to old I believe and seems to trouble most of the first class batsmen.

Petrie paid his way from Queensland after playing several 2nd 11 games with the Bulls.

Petrie I haven't seen much of, but he seems to go alright. Coetzee plays at my club Scarborough (Pretty good firsts lineup; Langer, Kade Harvey, Williams, Casson, Coetzee, Bandy, Liam Davis) and looks the goods as an all-rounder, has a couple of Hundreds to his name as well as a fair bag of wickets.

Either Pakistan did not care about the match or were not trying.

How embarassing.

Mind you, the will probably come out firing for the Test! ;)

What's about South Australia?
Ever had a nil-all draw in cricket?
Coetzee looks promising.
Even worse, this was a 15 man Pakistan side, so the all out for 83 probably included 8-10 batsmen, not their normal #9-11 bowlers!
