Who is for it? I am. This could be a poll on the main page.

The Eags are ********ed cos they think North stole Wise, whether they did or not, i dont give a stuff, but i am keen for their to be an SANFL trade week. This may instigate more deals and getting players to play where they want to and have less disgruntled players. It can also compensate teams that lose players and would normally get nothing back. On the otherhand, it could turn into a bit of a meat market like the AFL, but i think its something the SANFL must do. Thoughts?

Nice idea.

Although with the farce that is AFL's trade 'week' I'd say shorten it to two or three days.

Don't think it would matter young James, that player plus two more from Centrals being bantered around connected to the Chooks are all coming out of contract, so no trade has to be made. Coulter came across of his own accord, no contact from North, he told me himself.
It would work with disgruntled players still under contract however, so yeah, why not, but make it a day, not a week.

Depends what clubs would rather be compensated with. Money or players. Players will still be tapped up, it's really just another means for their old club to get something. Another thing is the SANFL isn't a professional competition (I would assume) that most players would want to play for a club that is somewhat convinient to their occupation as opposed to an AFL player where the majority of their income is sourced from playing football.

An interesting suggestion by Kanta but I'm not sure if it has legs.

I agree that it should be only 2 or 3 days max, and most probably, due to the size of the sanfl, probably only a day. This would be long enoung for deals to be done. Also agree that some clubs may just want to swap money for players too.

Clubs already swap players for money. Any player that moves generally has a transfer fee attached between 2 and 20K. Some of it is also contingent on games played.
