Thoughts on the movie Se7en, starring Pitt and Morgan?

Also, what was your favourite death and why?

Se-seven-en sucked arse. Whats the point in billing a movie as a "thriller" when it is lame and predictable?

Loved it.

Though why Hollywood perpetuates the myth that serial killers are highly-intelligent, somewhat demented, geniuses is beyond me.

I didn't like seven, probably one of the most boring 'thrillers' I've ever seen.

Well here's a first, I am agreeing with TWO weagles fans.

It was a very overated movie, I wouldn't watch it a second time, where as I frequently watch great movies many times.

one of the best of 90's I reckon,

favourite death: Gluttony

and I love how Spacey is envy - didnt see that coming

it might seem better but because its R and I saw it when I was like 12

I love the movie - greed was the best death.

Not as overrated as Fincher's Fight Club though

What about Ted Bundy?

A classic example of the myth perpetuated.

He flunked out of one law school and was failing at another.

He also cold clocked most of victims from behind with a crowbar.

Not much cunning genius in that.

That really should answer your own question. Would you rather watch a movie about a smart killer, who killls his victims in clever and bizarre ways, or a bumbling fool who knocks people out from behind?

The truth is always much more interesting and even more bizarre than fiction.

Se7en is slightly overated, but there are only a handful of 'rated' movies that arent. The first time I saw it I didnt think the twist of making Brad Pitt turn into wrath was all that mind blowing, but then I did think about it, and it is a great ending, but more subtle/intellectual than you would expect of a serial killer movie.

"subtle" or "intellectual" arn't words i would use to describe this film.

"borning" "predictable" "lame" "monotonous" "badly acted" are words I would use.

Dont have one favourite - there are several that stand out though.

The Seven Samurai
Full Metal Jacket
The Matrix
A Fistful of Dollars
PulpFiction

These are the ones that spring to mind straight away.

i disagree with what you say about seven but i can't fault your taste in movies (i'm assuming you mean the first matrix film).

love seven. my all time favourite.

Morgan Freeman is so good in this film. And he works really well with Brad Pitt. It's really one movie that i can't see how people don't like it.

Of course. The other two were very ordinary.

Agreed.

As bad as The Matrix is, the two sequels are even worse.
