Good work on selecting Guy Campbell, Essendon should of selected him and he will definately give your team a big boost in defence. Played mainly fullback for Bendigo and was rarely beaten.

Mainly... where else did he play? I read he could pinch hit in the ruck and forward, is this correct?
Exactly what you said, he was also used as a pitch hit ruckman and key forward with success.

Too bad for you then huh, we strengthened our midfield with a needed ruckman, and another midfielder.
Nothing at all wrong with Heath James.

But to use pick 15 on him?
i personally dont think Spriggs will play alot of football in the midfield next year

We needed a ruckman who was ready to play in 2005 which we never would have got with pick 15 - yeah, it was probably a little above the odds - and Matthew Bate should become a terrific player, but Jolly fills an important hole for us
As for Spriggs and James, I can only assume that Roos concluded that we could pick up comparable youngsters in the rookie draft, so he went for experienced players (and looking at our selections today, I'm more than happy with our intake of youngsters)
Spriggs and James, and even Jolly, will probably never be superstars - but they are fill deficiencies in the Swans lineup, and will be ready to play in 2005
I'll admit, I was a little underwhelmed after the November draft, but after today's selections I am most enthusiastic

Lynden Dunn went at 15, Bate went at 13

spriggs could be the real suprise of the draft and well worth a punt

Quite possibly, I just don't see the reasoning for Moore, would have much prefered a key postition there.

Well we can agree to disagree a-rob i think we have a succesful we snaged a few recycled players a ruckman or 2 and the kpp we needed also a few midfielders. The two im really impressed and happy that we got are Earl Shaw and Ed Clarke saw a bit of their teamwork in the carnival games loved it

If there is a longterm injury or someone retires who do you think will be the first rookie to be elevated, i am tipping Guy Campell or Ed Clarke

Campbell supposedly has the body and I think if we have a long term injury it will be to a KP player, Clarke has the body to doesn't he. Does Shaw?
