Corowa-Rutherglen has signed up Adrian Newman from Port Melbourne scoobies where he kicked 60-plus goals this season including five in the gf win.
I was wondering how good he was and why he never played ones?

John Favier coached Myrtleford without a lot of success.
Myrtleford is trying to get Steve McKee back next year after he lucked out at the pre-season draft.
Myrtleford won the spoon this year after winning only one game.
They have appointed a new coach in Travis Hodgson from North Albury and he has brought Brent Piltz (one senior game with Sydney in 2001 I think) along as assistant coach.
Numbers have been good at pre-season training I'm told which is a good sign.
The club is also sweating on the possible return of Brad Murray and Andrew Murray who both played interstate.
If they get them back and the way the OM is going at the moment they could be a top five team and I'm not joking.
Doubt it, 2-3 players are not going to make that much difference. They only won 1 game i think from memory

The addition of McKee, Murray, Carey, Hodgson, Piltz, Craig Millar (who is the club's new general manager and former Tassie Devils player), Ty Baxter and a few more will make a big difference.
The OM is nowhere near as strong as it was four years ago.
Wodonga, which won the flag this year, has lost Ben Hollands and full-forward Darren Bradshaw hasn't been sighted at pre-season training yet.
They are thin in the key defensive posts, but have brilliant mid-fielders in Matt Shir, Simon McCormick and Jarrod Twitt.
North Albury, which played off in the grand final, has lost Hodgson, Piltz, Ash Eames, Jason Kerr, Daniel Leslie on top of the reretirement of coach Corey Lambert.
Lavington, which made the prelim final, is the only team in the top five last year who you could safely say will hold its ground.
Corowa-Rutherglen should stay in the top five, but from then on it's a raffle.
So they are all definate signings then.
McKee wont play there adn I highly doubt Brad Murray and Andy Carey will come back.
Wodonga were that far in front they can afford to loose 4 players and still be a force. Midfield alone cover for there backline, although they are pretty handy down back as well

Myrtleford has definitely locked in Hodgson, Piltz, Millar, Baxter and a couple of other locals returning and Brad McPherson, who I rate highly, missed most of last year with a busted mit.
Carey is the most likely of the trio because he is back living and working locally and Murray is home for Xmas and the Saints are going to hit with a very, very good offer I'm told.
McKee is 20-80 about coming back.
Granted Wodonga was a good team last year and were carried to a large degree by its star players, Hollands, Bradshaw, Shir, Twitt, McCormick, Thompson and P. Nugent and the return from injury of Simon Paton who has been training pre-season at Box Hill.
But, they wouldn't have got within 10 goals of Corowa-Rutherglen's 2000 premiership side and were two or three goals behind the same team's 2003 flag winning side.
They topped up in a poor year and next year is going to be even weaker.

Wodonga Raiders were minor premiers in 2003 before being bundled out in straight sets and haven't recovered since.
They lost Chris McCarty, who I reckon was a very, very good player, back to Rochester among others.
Were going all right until things fell apart in the second half of this year.
Should have lost to Myrtleford, who were hopeless, at Myrtleford and were sitting ninth on the ladder until a late rally which saw them win two of their last three games to climb to eighth.
Have lost a shed load of players again including playing coach Christin Macri to Williamstown after he was locked in for a third term at the helm.
Dean Lupson has been appointed coach and they are in re-build mode.
I doubt they can make finals, but in a weak comp anything is possible and a bit of luck with injury who knows.
But, assistant coach Matt Pendergast broke his ankle on a fishing trip recently and will be a late starter.
Predicton finish 7-10.

would of thought you are being a little too generous with that compliment.
