Easty...your pea sized brain continues to make yourself like an absolute dill.
I suggest you do not post in this thread anymore as you are just making yourself look more and more idiotic with each post.
Reserves are not important in the scheme of things. They are like the ansett cup. Its great if you win it but you dont really care if you dont...as thats what they are...reserves to the league side.
Therefore saying "haha your reserves are winless" is about as credible and smart as saying "haha you didnt win the ansett cup".
Souths league side (the important one) is twice as good as Glenelgs, which is the only reason you decide to bring up the reserves.

If anyone cares about the results of the reserves, they are delusional. The only time you should give a hoot is if your league team miss out in the finals.
Reserves are not there to win premierships. They are there as a back up to the league team.

Call me delusional...

... for this reason.
With the imminent absence of the Bays in this years' finals series, I have been paying some attention to the fate of the reserves & junior teams. Good effort today by the seconds to knock of the Eagles, they should now be certain of a double chance in the finals. With a double chance, the Bays would almost be a threat. Central and WWT are the strong clubs, but with Glenelg's senior team missing the finals, the reserves will be bolstered and should be capable of giving either a run for its money. The double chance is crucial since WWT and Central's league teams will likely be contesting the Qualifying final, and thus their reserves sides may be weakened. I see the reserves elimination final as a tougher task, since the opponent would either be Sturt (which would be bolstered by an absence of its league side in the finals) or Port (which will likely take the league's minor premiership, and thus none of its reserves will be called up to the seniors in the first week of finals). Norwood is a dark horse, but Glenelg will not play Norwood in the first week - one or the other will take the double chance.
Reserves are not there to win premierships. They are there as a back up to the league team.Yeah, well, true... but it's a bloody long time between footy seasons, especially if one hates cricket. I'll be very happy to watch the Tigers' seconds in the finals. I wish it were the league team. Who knows, next year it might be - as the (hopefully) successful reserves players break into the league ranks.

haha, of course reserves arent as important as the league but if your league arent in the finals then you support your reserves fully in september if they make it. But for south fans none of their teams will make it ! Also, I think you are wrong with your comment about souths league being double as good as ours ! If we played them in this part of the season we would beat them, just look at their side on paper compared to ours ! I would even go as far as to say that we are more likely to win a flag before south too. Apparently south are going to lose quite a few senior players next year and also surely their oldies like koster etc wont go on forever, whereas we wont lose too many and will get that recruit we have sorely needed ! plus we have the depth in the reserves to further back us up for next year and even great depth in the juniors

You're a joke, you really are!!
Ok... this year we've played twice.
Game 1 - WE WON BY 11 GOALS.
Game 2 - WE WON BY 10 GOALS.
Accept it, and get over it.
I doubt whether ANY of the other Glenelg supporters on here would agree that Glenelg has a better list than South Adelaide.
Once again... your brainless comments have succeeded in making you look like a d|ckhead.

Easty for your own sake as well as ours, before you launch into an attack please check your facts first. The reason you make yourself look so stupid is because you don't check things through.
You've asked for all the abuse you've coped here.
South did beat you both times and are probably a better side than what Glenelg are.
You've ranted and raved on about these star recruits and were are they?? Are we talking mini league level or what??
You should not be going on about South's older players, cause I seem to recall a couple years ago when Glenelg were full of old has beens. The difference between Glenelg and South will be South have talented youngester at 17 & 19 level and Glenelg won't.

Easty your an idiot. South has defeated you by a total of 21 goals this year in your two matches. That says a lot.
You say that South are gonna lose all these players....yet Glenelg will get this boom recruit you need. Dont you think South will recruit people as well?? Or do you think they will keep the same list they have now for hte next 5 years!
Reserves depth means bugger all too Easty. Players that are fantastic in reserves do not neccesarily make it in the league side. John Hatsitsopanidis kicked over loads of goals for port in the under 19s and under 17s yet couldnt make the reserves team to save his life. Kosta Tsaknakis kicked a heap of goals in under 19s and reserves but wasnt good enough in the pre season trials to ge ta league game.
Phil Smith has kicked heaps of goals at reserves level...same Sam Phillipou yet neither could ge ta kick in the league side this year!
Ports under 17s havent done a lot in the past 7-8 years...1 grand final...yet the players keep getting drafted (pickett x2, fiora, didak, wilson to name a few) and the league side keeps winning premierships!!!
I wouldnt go by your reserves results at all!

yes you were too good at the time of the matches, but we have improved since then which is obvious in our results lately.
As for who has the stronger list, Im sure Glenelg has that sewn up ! sure your first 6 or 7 players are as good as any but the depth falls away from then down to player 40,compared to glenelg

So South are going to lose all their good players eh? What will happen to Bode and K. Cornes (the main reason the Bays have been competitive lately)? Once the Crows and Power scoop them back up you'll be back to square 1. Brad Smith had another blinder I see.

Oh... yes of course!
This year's results speak for themselves. (I will remind you again, as your attention span is obviously so low... the 2 wins were by 10 and 11 goals each)
You certainly had us 'sewn up' there.

Au contraire. One could pitch a good argument in favour of the case that Glenelg does have a better list than South.
What I wouldn't argue is that Glenelg's list has performed remotely close to its ability.
It is a shame that Glenelg and South were drawn to play each other only twice this year. The Tigers' recent efforts have been a lot better. I'd have money on them rolling the Panthers if they were to meet next week.
(Now that I've said that, what chance they get rolled by the Roosters this week? touch wood...)
