West Preston were shocking for three quarters. Their kicking was at a level I have not seen from the club in the 5-6 games I have seen this season. In the end, they lost by 4-5 goals. I can't remember the exact margin. And that margin was not a reflection on how badly West Preston played. They just didn't have a forward line. Well done to former WCE and STK player Jason Heatley for kicking his 100th goal today. Now, if only West Preston had a forward like that :( :( I assume that Heidelberg won today, which means West Preston will miss the finals. On West Prestons performance today, they don't deserve to be their.
Pity it wasn't Northcote park that missed out.

I know what you mean, Play On. The game was disappointing and West Preston looked flat, and thier disposal was ordinary, but your Full-Forward in the reserves was a gun, he looked like a young guy and could be a handy player in the firsts for you fellas.

North Heidelburg was switched right on and with thier run out of the mid-field and thier dominance in the ruck, just made the job that much easier on them.

Next Week, its North Heidelburg and Heidelburg at Epping which are always tough games agaist these two teams with totally different cultures, and the qualifying final is on a week after that where I hope the Bunnies (Bundoora) open up a can of whoop ass on Northcote Park after thier disappointing win against Greensborough.

Division Two, well I headed down to North Heidelburg to see Mernda absolutely dominate against Hurstbridge to win by 50 points, who had a bad day with all three of thie sides losing.

After that performance, I give Mernda a big chance to beat Lalor next week for the right to play of in the Grand final, they lost their game against Lalor the last time because of bad kicking and Lalor isn't looking all that invincible anymore.

Hurstbridge onn the other hand have to play Whittlesea in a sudden death match at Whittlesea after they disposed of Watsonia last week, also played at Whittlesea (geez talk about an easy run for Whittlesea ?) I think because of the big, Whittlesea ground and the huge home ground advantage, I think that Hurstbridge will go out in straight sets.

It was good to see you at Cramer St, I hope to do it again another time.

Regardless of who plays in the VFL grand final, I will almost certainly be their, as I believe the game is at optus, which is easy to get to. Maybe you will be their as well.

Even though West Preston did not make the finals, I can think with a fair amount of confidence that their is always next year.

I have a post in Genaral talk about how I was gald to meet you.
