View Full Version : Kellaway as a forward?

I reckon Kellaway would make a very good forward. Strong mark, decent kick for goal. When he has gone forward he has done well. His skills are good. I have never understood why people say he is a bad kick. He's decent on both feet. His brother was the one who couldn't kick lol. Now we have 3 or 4 young tall future defenders all of a sudden. It would be great if one or 2 of these youngsters could slot into the team straight away :D. I think Gaspar can regain his best form. Now that he is over his injury, he can play at 100% and his confidence would be back to normal by the start of next season. He was restricted for the first half of last season from the knee, which meant he couldn't match his opponent like he usually would, then his confidence just got worse and worse. He'll be back ;). Hopefully the improving Hall really bulks up over summer. His strength is his weakness. Schulz, Archilbald, Moore and a couple of recent draft picks are our future tall defenders

Dunno , but knowing the way TW runs things he might use him like the way they did at the DOGS with Ben Harrison..

Not really quick enough or strong enough to play as a forward. We need guys like him up back, who are gutsy and usually reliable. GO TIGERS!! :) :) happy new year to all.

Wasn't it Kellaway & Gaspar that TW said should never be played in the forward line (Sun whe Spud was still here)?
AK is not a decent shot for goal........keep him as the 3rd man in defence or the loose man so he can smash into packs and take marks going back with the flight like he does best
Sorry but no
We are still very weak in defence despite some options down back
He's a proven defender who has suffered simply from the quantity of leather he's seeing down his way
While we have a few options down back when everyone is fully fit, we have a lot more options up forward who I'd put ahead of AK

bit silly having 2004 on ur user name dont u think? but since you dont have a high post count you can still change! AK? hmmmm! nopes dun like the idea.... he will never play anywhere but down back for the rest of his career.
the quote here from sante explains exactly what i think!

but who agrees that Kellaway is a decent enough kick? ;). I even think Gaspar is a decent enough kick. They are both alot better than Duncs anyway :D

Nah kellaways a backman through and through.
You mentioned Ray Hall beefing up over summer. From the reports Ive read it sounds like he hasnt put on a gram of anything.
But I agree, he really should. For the sake of the team.
Go Team.

he hasn't bulked up? He might as well pack his bags then, because that's his major weakness and if he's not planning to make big improvements, then Goodbye Hall :D

Surely this is an early April fools joke!!!
The dud wouldnt get a kick at Coburg!!!
Hopefully in 12 months time we no longer have the name Fellaway on an RFC list:- a blight to the game!!!!!

i think u should stop drinking diggler ;)
i reckon kelleway is a decent player. just would not suit up forward. back is his possie for the rest of his career. but im sure plenty of kids will step up next year... but i doubt kelleways possition will be taken up....we still need some one to go crushing through the packs and taking plenty of marks in the backline.... at the mo we dont have many players like him i could probably say none like him..... even though he isnt the best player, he still does a decent job for the club.
I concur with the one who Diggles yet wont be surprised when AK is nominated as a VC.
The club just loves him.Fkuc knows why but they do.
