I've always thought Julia Roberts was a woofer and this movie did nothing else but confirm it. She and Cameron Diaz are over rated woofers.

I've been put off seeing it by my father who loved the first one, but called this one the most boring film he'd ever seen.

And yes Julia Roberts is extremely overrated.

I won't bother seeing this one. It was bad enough that they re-made the original let alone created a sequel.

One of the things that made the original Ocean's 11 really work is that the Rat Pack were ripping off Vegas which is where they were headlining every night!! And the ending was pure gold, one of the all-time best closing scenes of a movie!! :D

!!WARNING!! Although not spoiling much, this post conmtains spoilers.

I'm usually pretty quick to forget a bad movie but I was lying awake the other night thinking over just how bad this movie was:

1. Matt Damon's character was a complete cop out. Just didn't wash with me at all
2. The bit where they have the meeting with Robbie Coltrane and they talk in some mumbo jumbo language. Completely unrealistic and not at all humorous. As if you could do that in real life and fool someone.
3. The part where they are at the train station and Damon is talking to Pitt and Pitt was saying he's not mysterious whilst wearing an inspector gadget costume. A lame attempt at comedy. I suspect a fair bit of the lame comedy is Clooney's deal.
4. The bit where they're trying to hide the fact that the alleged real Julia Roberts is on the phone from Bruce Willis. Completely amateur and lame. This movie is meant to be somewhat sophisticated. It came across like a b-grade teenage comedy.
5. The puncy firefox or whatever his name was. Completely unconvincing character.
6. The sexual tension between Pitt and Eata-Jones. Also unconvincing. She is hot though.
7. Matt Damon's Mum bailing them out. Unecessary. Tried to be cute with this part of the plot and it didn't work

I'm sure I've missed plenty already, but now to the gaping holes in the plot:

8. The whole concept that this puncy firefox guy went to all the trouble to steal the faberge egg because his ego was bruised. If he was that good he wouldn't be so ridiculouslu unprofessional.
9. Then he has a bet and the condition of him winning was Ocean's 12 had to say "You're the best, firefox". Completely laughable.
10. Why did Ocean's 12 bother to go to the Faberge Egg display where they would inevitably be arrested when they had already stolen the egg? This is the crux of the whole movie and it simply doesn't add up.
11. Then Matt Damon's mum coming to rescue him? It's like they (the scriptwriters) focused on suspense and plot twist but didn't worry about making it match.

One of the lamest movies I've seen for a long time.

And one more thing:

It was quite obvious where they were going with the Julia Roberts thing. Very very obvious. So obvious in fact they were just about to mention it several times but stopped at the last second as if to keep us in suspense. When they finally reveal who Julia Roberts has to impersonate, some dumb bitch in the cinema burst out laughing like it was a complete surprise and the funniest thing she had ever heard. Not surprisingly she laughed like a donkey.
