ch7 is making noises about taking on ch9 and trying to pick up cricket tv rights. if they was successful who would you like to see in the commentary box??
is this a chance to clean out the dead wood from the nine box and pension off some of their duds or would you prefer a clean swap over??

Since losing the footy, Ch 7 have been eyeing off the cricket in a sort of ******-for-tat retaliation. However, like anything on the box, it does become stale and self-centred so a change to the Seven network would be a boost for the people who watch all of the coverage every year.
As for commentators, they should all get the flick apart from Bill Lawry and possibly the new guy Mark Nicholas. The rest of them are boring and dribble on about the same things every match. At least Phanto has some genuine passion for the game.

Yep, I agree. And they probably wont give a too hoots about putting eastern states ODI's live in Perth during weekdays because they will.

yep, would be good to destroy and rebuild. The only problem is, I'd have to put up with Channel 7's annoying promos.
As the sheik said, bring Bill over, maaaaybe Tony, but only if he was solely partnered with Bill in the com box. They could try getting JB, but unless they have footy coverage as well, he's unlikely to join 7.
Richie should get the ars3, he's past it, but the best thing about this would be the fact that Heals is gone. I can't f**king stand him any longer.

Could you imagine it; Ricky Ponting hitting his double century last week in Sydney and Bruce crapping on about how “special” it was? Cricket needs a refresher and the change of stations will be a good start.

7 should forget about the footy and spend all their money making a good run of the cricket. Get some high profile commentators in, maybe some ex-players that havn't done much media work before, bring across a few of the 9 commentators and it would be alright. But who would be the old-fart anchor man?
