A tribute to Anthony Modra will be held at Subiaco prior to the Freo v Adelaide game on Saturday 1st September starting around 6.15 pm.

Let’s get a big crowd there and make it a day to remember for Mods and his supporters.

On the news tonight there was a suggestion that Modra would be doing a lap of honour at the SANFL Grand Final.

This was suggested after the Fremantle offered to switch the game back to Adelaide, but the AFC declined saying that it wouldn't be fair to the season ticket holders and members of Freo.

I personally can't wait...and shall be there front row :D

No, you've got it round the wrong way.... the AFC offered Freo about $300,000 to $400,000 to swap the game to Adelaide, but Freo said no, because of season ticket holders and sponsors.

Can't blame Adelaide for trying. They thought they'd get about 35,000 to the game, which would be more than will turn up in Perth. And it would have saved a long plane trip across the Nullabor.
