Extremely hard to separate Grail and Brian.

'You lucky bastard, what I wouldn't give to be spat at in the face' ..'that's favourtism that is'.

'Free Woderick'

'Crucifixion?' 'No actually, I've been pardoned' 'Oh okay, off you go' 'No, just kidding ... crucifixion'.

Paraphrasing a bit but you get the gist.

Gotta go with Life of Brian

Meaning of life was more a collection of sketches with no narrative. Life of Brian is more polished and has less wobbling sets than Holy Grail. Its the only difference.

Agree with all that. Probably "Life of Brian" for mine, but the ********-funniest individual moments are probably in the other two films.

Holy Grail was more laugh your arse off material. Life of Brian was a bit more cerebral in it's taking the urine out of religion. Meaning of Life was a series of sketches.

1 Grail
2 Brian
3 Life

Ahh, I see you have the machine that goes "PING!".

Yes, the Meaning of Life is a collection of sketches, but it also has narrative value. It seeks to illuminate the meaning of life...and seems to conclude that, from beginning to end, life is really rather meaningless and ridiculous! The Meaning of Life is a modern day existentialist triumph! There are just so many great moments...the slapstick comedy of the machine that goes 'PING'...the silliness of the song 'every sperm is sacred'...the scathing social comment in the 'Oh Lord, ooowww you are so big, so absolutely huge, Gosh, we're all really impressed down here I can tell you' prayer. Yep, definitely Meaning of Life, I reckon. So many golden moments...'tis pure genius I tell you, pure genius! :)

King Arthur: I am your king.

Woman: Well I didn't vote for you.

King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.

Woman: Well how'd you become king then?

King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.

Dennis: Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
